Just listened to some of the podcast that Gary Parrish and the gang at CBS Sports puts out every Monday. They spent quite a bit of time talking about Purdue and Matt Painter. It was interesting to hear the opinions of these national guys.
They basically were talking about how Purdue struggled early and looked like we were going to miss the tourney for 3 years in a row. And with that it brings up a tough call on whether to get a new coach or not. Obviously these guys don't have all the details, but still I thought very interesting to get their take. And FWIW, they all seemed to think Purdue is in pretty good shape to get to the tourney and the hot seat stuff is now a moot point.
But anyway, I'd recommend a listen if you have 5-10 minutes. The Purdue talk starts around 24:45. I'm on mobile so attaching a link is a little tough, but I think I have the link of the tweet that Parrish has the link to the podcast
