Michigan/Harbaugh returned to form (although, to be fair, Georgia may indeed be the best team in the country)...Franklin is someone who has done less with more than almost anybody else, as, he has underachieved there for sure...I think Purdue fans as much as anyone realizes Iowa is not what the number next to their name says.
I think Michigan being exposed as they were only put on display that the B1G as a whole was not great this year...some good teams...competitive within conference certainly...but, on a national scale...the B1G is still trailing the SEC...which is why Purdue's win was even more impressive.

PSU should NEVER have been chosen for a New Years Day bowl. This nonsense of travelling fan bases is bullshit. Purdue and Tennessee fans filled the stadium. Yes, I know it was virtually a home game for UT.

Top of the SEC is better than top of BIG, middle is pretty even I suppose. PSU is strictly name recognition...they pretty much stink and I'll be pissed anytime we don't beat their assess.

Sheesh....Iowa gives up a huge play, and Kentucky is about to score to take the lead under 2 minutes. Looked like a David Bell play.
If Iowa had any kind of QB and passing game, they'd be tough to beat.
Im not sure why Iowa stuck with him. He overthrew numerous wide open receivers today. And he's done that all year. A good QB would have made them tough to beat.
all they do is throw to TE's and run those stretch plays. Can't believe they got such a good recruiting class after all that racial stuff they had this past year

it's a catch 22 w/ their O, they are a ground and pound team and take advantage of the TO's , but it's a struggle to get a talented QB for such a style of O.
Ground and pound teams don't win championships anymore. Got to be dynamic in the passing game. And that's what happened with Michigan. Harbaugh won't be able to adjust to that.
Besides Iowa's horrible tackling at the game end. I really didn't like not going for it on that extremely short 4th down. They were stopped on the other one by their fumbled hike, not by the defense.

Not that it matters to Purdue, but there were a lot of empty seats at the Fiesta Bowl, too. The announced crowd was under 50K for Oklahoma State and Notre Dame.
Dang - what's the over on the Rose Bowl? 28-14 with 8 minutes left in the half - Ohio State's weakness on defense getting exploited so far, along with a KO return TD for the Utes. Lot of time left, but it isn't looking so good for the Big Ten today.
