Are we favored to win the B1G next year?

yep, and the team that beat them was stacked with freshmen like Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor and Grayson Allen and Justise Winslow. Starting to see a pattern yet?
I see you comparing Izzo who has been doing the same thing for 30 years, winning with four year players, to suddenly become coach K who has also been doing the same thing, getting one and dones and winning with them. That's the point. It's a change in style.

I don't care if Izzo wants to go the "new Coke" route and reinvent a winning recipe. But I don't see it working the way your spinning it.

I haven't done the research to b specific, but Cuonza didn't get quality minutes from two lottery picks until at least February. LaBasierre was horrible until well into January, MSU should be great next year, but they may not manifest their greatness until very late in the season - when freshmen aren't freshmen anymore.

I think you are confusing me with an MSU fan for some reason.

As I said repeatedly, just because Izzo hasn't had that level of 1 and done talent does not mean he cannot succeed with it.

I get it. Your point is Izzo hasn't had that kind of talent before in a freshman class. I know. That's my point, too. I'm just not going to lazily suggest that just because he has not, it does not mean he cannot.

No, Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb both hit the ground running for Cal averaging in double figures from day 1.

It hasn't happened because he's come in 2nd a lot when recruiting one and done type talent like Jabari, or Tyus Jones, or Cliff Alexander. So he's never had this kind of talent before, since I guess Zach Randolph. It'll be an interesting experiment to see if Izzo can adjust his style to succeed with Kentucky type youth and talent. Only time will tell.

I think a lot will depend on the maturity level of these freshmen. The fact that a lot of these kids have been great friends since grade school, I think that will help expedite chemistry and cohesion.

Agree, I think it will depend largely on the freshman's ability to get acclimated. I don't anticipate Izzo changing his style...hasn't done so in 21 years. How quick will these kids learn to play the requisite level of defense? That is the question, IMO.

- Maryland graduates Layman and Sulaimon (slight possibility of losing Trimble)
- MSU graduates Denzel and Costello
- IU graduates Yogi, Zeisloft, Bielfeldt (possibly loses Bryant)
- Iowa graduates Uthoff, Gesell, and Pokey

I think Wisconsin and Ohio St...maybe Michigan...will be our closest rivals

'the fuq are you talking about?

Indiana was superior to Purdue this year, without Blackmon; Purdue loses their best player and 2 role players, just like Indiana; Indiana has a superior recruiting class coming in.

On what planet do you think Purdue is finishing ahead of Indiana, let alone the favorite to win the Big Ten?

I have no idea what will happen next year, but there are a whole lot of people and coaches that might not agree that Indiana was superior to Purdue this year...so superior that the whole Purdue team wanted to play them again in the Big tourney. IU may have won that game, but there were plenty that didn't think so and so I'm not sure "superior" would be an accurate statement, but who am I to spoil your fun?
