The football team and it’s quarterbacks have benefited from having great alpha receivers over the last several years with Moore and Bell. Most would say the AR was better than the QB throwing them the ball. Coming into this season we have an undisputed QB1 that is even getting a lot of national attention. The bigger question in my mind is will someone develop as an AR. How important is it to have an AR versus a deep and talented group without an AR. If you think we will have an AR develop, who do you think it will be? Thompson (without being dominant during the regular season, was an AR in the Music City Bowl but has issues with coming back from injury)? One of the Iowa transfers (lot of buzz on them)? One of the talented but hasn’t shown it on the field yet younger group of receivers (will increased opportunities/playing time help? Can they avoid injuries that have held them back)? Lots of questions. What do you think?
