In his latest Bracketology, ESPN's Charlie Creme has Purdue as the No. 5 seed in the Sioux Falls region, playing against the Ivy League winner (Penn), then likely Tennessee in Knoxville in the second round.

Assuming the Boilermakers aren't going to play their way up to a top 16 (host) seed - and while not impossible, I wouldn't predict it - I think I'd take this draw.

Do top 4 seeds get to host now or are sites still pre-determined?

I don't think we're that unlikely to be a top 4 seed. I think you could make a great case for us over some of the teams Creme has seeded above us right now. Most notably Louisville who he has as a 3 seed.

Yeah, top 16 seeds host, like volleyball.

I just don't see Purdue getting into that group, unless it can beat Maryland once, plus not suffer a bad loss - (I think the BC loss might end up in that category) - and maybe get MSU.

If they do all that then they might well win a share of the Big Ten. I don't think the bar for a top 4 seed will be THAT high but they do have to win all but a few of the remaining games imo. Maybe everything but the MSU and Maryland games.

I think there are some of these 50/50 games - Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan, Rutgers - that Purdue is going to lose. I could obviously be wrong, like I have been about the whole season.

We all have.

I like us to sweep Nebraska but having to play Iowa both home and away will be tough and I'd actually be happy with a split there. Michigan and Rutgers will both be tough also but at least they are both at home.

We will have to play better than last night to hold a five seed. There are a lot of games on the schedule that could go either way.

I did not get to listen to last night's game, but based on stats, Wilson did not have a great game. As goes April Wilson, so goes this team.
