Saw we picked up a ball on 247. Peegs guy🫣
Wondering if this has more to do with the amount of visitors in town plus Jaden is back for the game as well.
Maybe it will be Painter getting some commits..... guess we will know more tomorrow.
This is a big pickup and a great early start to 2024. A bunch of schools were getting involved. Basketball runs in his veins. He looks like a good shooter with some length.
I like this commitment. Hopefully, Matt Painter can still continue to build with his recruiting.
And, former Boiler standout Rodney Smith is an Uncle in that Tamika is married to his brother Parnell.
Dont know that much about him. Watching his highlights though looks like he has some Vince Edwards in him to me.
This might be a real find for Painter. I’ve got a good feeling that this kid is going to be one of our favorites once he gets here.
The best sign is when painter gets his plan A guys.

Harris is the guy - would be huge for CMP and Purdue.
I read sometime this coming week 247 is updating their 2024 rankings and Catchings will be in it. Is Bossi their basketball guy now? Whoever it was said Catchings is long, has good lateral quickness and is really bouncy with a smooth stroke. Something along those lines
I have seen him play since 5th/6th-grade...he was not the best player on those teams, but, was clearly the most athletic with the greatest potential...as he has matured, that has played out in that he is the best player now certainly.
That said, his best days are still ahead of him, as, he is going to get bigger/stronger.
Long and athletic with bounce is pretty spot on. He does have some similarities to Edwards as some others had noted...not as physical certainly, and, not as smooth...but, that is a good comparison with respect to what type of potential he has.
I would say that the interest is all based on what he could be down the line more so that where he is right now, but, he has a lot of upside and a lot working in his favor as well. This might turn out to be a case where getting him before he blows up...hopefully so.
Bidunga would be a game changer
IMHO - we'd need to change our game to get him (no, not our style of play!)
In multiple ways. Can CMP land him? We shall see.
I am working overtime to avoid Boilerepherine clouding my judgment, and it's only Tuesday.

Based on who Painter and staff are looking at in the 2024 class - maybe we aren't focusing on a guard in 2023?
Travis Perry kind of looks like Rick Mount in one of the pictures where he is dribbling. He has an offer from Kentucky. He is also a golfer so maybe a dual sport guy?
