yes please! He's got some old school mid-range pull up game in him. Reminds me a little bit of Ivey with his size/length and ability to get into the lane. This would be a great get for Painter.

Montverde kid from Philly. Interesting. Very highly recruited so this would be a huge get if Painter and the staff can somehow land him. Don't know our chances, but he looks like an elite scorer.
He would make game day threads fun, “Justice is served!”.
You can never have too many guards Painter usually Plays 3 at a time
Lot of competition for him but Painter should be sending him daily videos of Ivey highlights, and saying "This is what I see you doing when you get to Purdue".
Hopefully he edits out all the impacts with the floor Ivey takes. Can't imagine that would be an appealing pitch otherwise.
yeh, he takes some cringe-worthy shots and falls. Maybe Painter can cut the video right before he hits the deck.

Painter offered 2022 top 50 guard Justice Williams. Looks like he could sell him on Carsen's play during his time at Purdue. If he signs, that would be a very solid guard class.
Interestu=ing story about Justice Williams. Players are looking for a relationship with the coaching staff, which makes the key recruiter so important. Hiring someone who the player already knows could work one of two ways. If the player-coach relationship is good, you expect it to work in the school's favor. But if it's not good, with so many other choices there is no reason for the player to want to continue it.

Another situation where the longer it drags on, the less likely seemingly that he ends up at Purdue...this whole charade could (and probably would, if not should) have ended by now if he was genuinely interested in playing at/for Purdue.
Hope not. Maybe it will be a situation like Vince Edwards or Trey Kaufman. Both deliberated a long time before making the obviously right choice.

Vince had me worried, I’ll admit.
Part of it was, I thought for sure some “bigger” programs would get their heads out of their backsides and offer him at some point. Couldn’t figure that out, he had a complete skill set, bloodlines, character, the whole package.
I would want the experience of making some visits. Last year was a different story with Covid. Heck, I would do what Melvin McCants did and setup one of the visits to the University of Hawaii.
Same thought(s) and concern(s)...much as is the case here with Heide.
It appears that is what he is waiting on/expecting it...if not hoping for as well.
Like say, if he was happy about playing at/for Purdue and really wanted to, it would have happened. It still might...and I obviously hope that it does, but, the more time that passes without it happening, the more skeptical I am that it ultimately will.
Heidi is probably torn since his Mom was a Gopher and Dad was a Boiler. The new Minny head coach was recruiting him at Xavier when he was an assistant there. He has been in regular contact. That one seems like a toss up now.
If there is any legit consideration of Minnesota over Purdue, it is merely a sentimental one...the state of the programs could not be more different, and, the success of one with similar type players relative to the other could not be either.
Purdue has long been considered the favorite...and the other two schools that he was allegedly most interested in had coaching changes and are in some form of turmoil...if he is not ready to commit, there is definitely more to the story.
Whatever happens...happens...but, if he genuinely wanted to play at/for Purdue, it sure seems like a commitment would have already happened. Yes, he can take visits and enjoy the process or whatever, but, it just seems odd in this particular case. I may be completely wrong...and I hope for that matter that I am...but, to me, the fact that he has not committed at this point leads me to being skeptical that he ultimately will.
No doubt about the direction in programs. 247 shows Lutz was the primary recruiter for Heide so maybe there is some things at play there with the change. I’m sure we are still in regular contact. Interesting there was a surge in other offers to forwards and big guards after Lusk joined.
Let's lock him and Washington up.
This is probably the busiest time of the recruiting cycle. Rivals is having a hard time keeping up with all of the offers.
They play on the same Meanstreets team. Would make for a great class.

Would assume we are out on Brown. Filipowski posted his official visit schedule and we aren’t on the list.
Of those players, Shaver is the lowest rated prospect, and he has an excellent list of schools who offered.
