Now, who deserved firing while showing “unwarranted arrogance?” Certainly not our oft-decorated Boiler captain, the one who opened holes for the A-Train after a life-threatening injury, made it to the NFL and CFL, scouted for the Super Bowl champion Rams, directed personnel for the Super Bowl Eagles, was named the NFL’s top exec for his rebuild of the Colts after inheriting a 2-14 team and never had a losing season. Rather, the one who most ripped him, the dumb domer dinker turned media mega mouth Patty McAfee, has proven full of it. And that, too.

The latest tally – Grigson’s Vikings 21, Ballard’s Colts 13, McAfee’s Mouth 0.

I wanted to trust and believe in Walters, but I believe he's lost this team and they've quit on him. That's extremely difficult to recover from.
That said, if MBob were putting together a criteria list for the next HC, what would it be:
Mine are:
1) HC experience, preferably at a P5 school, not a service academy and not someone who got lucky for 1 year (Hazell). Sorry, no more coordinators without HC experience.
2) Recruiting: values speed and athletes. Tiller took athletes and found a position for them, even if it wasn't what they were originally recruited for. Bunch of these types made the NFL.
3) Embraces NIL. It is what it is. You have to use it and it can be an equalizer to some extent.
4) Test consistently competitive and rarely get blown out. You play hard every down of every game, regardless of the score. Yeh, blowouts will happen, but a team quitting is a different story.
5) Doesn't believe in the notion that Purdue is at any sort of disadvantage.

There must be some fellow Bear fans on here. Tough scene for us right now. Just when things are starting to look up, the rest of the division is all awesome and you’re still finishing last. You have a sub par o line and easily the worst coaching staff in division. Huge mistake sticking with Eberflus. He’s a good DC but a bad HC. Waldron is terrible too. They have 2 real bad losses already and haven’t even played a division game yet, of which they very well could go 0-6. Ugh.

Plenty of Colts fans too I’m sure. All I have to say about them is that they made a bad pick at QB. Richardson is flat out terrible and they’re going to have to just accept that and find a way to move on. You can’t take a guy who’s basically never played in the top 5. Never had a chance.

With no game tape from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, there's not much known about them, but here's a look at where Purdue's at heading into its regular season opner at 6:00 pm tonight at Mackey Arena.

There is still great reason for Hope for Dems in PA.

Sure officials caught on to rookies cheating here, But surely this is just the tip of the spear as this is just a few thousand. BUT just think about the experienced cheaters and the hundreds of thousands that weren't caught yet. Never fear!! K2 might come out with a solid blue wall yet.

Hang in there Dems --- there still great reason for Hope. Your cheating minions will get 'er done.

Will Walters remain as HC for the rest of the season and risk the few commitments we have?

Will Bobinski fire Walters tomorrow and focus on the future?

Keeping Walters is a major sign of disrespect for the fans, especially those who have filled the seats of RA for every disappointing game this year. I expect the PSU game to be a sea of blue in two weeks.

Don’t be surprised when TKR puts on a star’s performance this season. He’s been waiting a long time to shine.

Will write up more today but Painter did announced freshman guard Jack Benter will redshirt this season. No surprise from the Browntown Central guard who spent a long portion of summer recovering and will have four years of eligibility after this season.

Saw South Carolina has to pay A&M $250k for storming field in football. I like that. Maybe B1G should do that. Our NIL budget would go up a whole lot.

All of Purdue's commitments were active in their respective state playoff this week except for Sawyer Anderson.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham was hanging out with Trump and gave him some campaign assessments.

In doing so, he sent out a personal shout-out about the MAGA posters on this board directly to your fearless, incoherent, 78 year old insurrection-supporting leader, Donaldo J Trumph!!

“You’ve got a problem with moderate women,” Graham told Trump after the midterms. “The people that think that the earth is flat and we didn’t go to the moon, you’ve got them."

Purdue should talk to him. He may be the best fit for us.

Pat has Head Coach experience in the B10 and was very successful. He set up good offensive and defensive units on both sides of the ball. He is a great recruiter and given that Purdue does not have as strict admission requirements as Northwestern does, he can bring in a lot of B10 caliber talent.

Plus, I think he was railroaded out of NU. (those hazing allegations were not conclusive and he was let go for not knowing all about it)

Thoughts on Pat?

1) We drop the opening drive pass!
2) On our 4th down play in Ovt. our right side receiver was held the entire route and intended receiver was hooked and turned while trying to catch the pass. Zebras BLEW both fouls.
3) Missed assignment by our D allowed a wide open NW to score the winning TD.

I am most interested in who separates themselves at the five position. We have a lot of depth there but so far it’s unsure who will stand out. Does Berg take advantage of his first chance at meaningful minutes? Does Jacobson jump Berg on the depth chart? Does small ball with TKR work against a good big? Does Burgess put an end to the RS talk? Lots of questions.

I am also interested in seeing how the frosh mesh with Smith, Loyer, and TKR. Can Harris take the starting spot? Can Cox shoot his way into big minutes?

Finally I am sure everyone is excited to see the sophomore jump from Heide and Colvin. Do they make a jump and solidify their spots in the rotation?

Overall I am just excited that the season is finally here. This team will probably take some lumps early on but I expect the team to gel come January and February and to be a tough out in big ten play.
