Well the OC from wherever and removed for how long had more success than HC defense
It was our chance to win, otherwise just hoping the defense does something they failed to do all dayGoing for 2 was 100% the right call. We were 2/2 on 2 pt conversions up to that point. Just because it failed doesn’t change that going for 2 was the right thing to do.
We literally had a chance because of the offensive play calls. This was an opportunity for the team to actually see progress in winning a game we flat out lost in the first half. But our DEFENSIVE coach basically said “we can’t stop them” and put everything on a call from a guy that was coaching HS football 2 years ago. Not bashing the OC as he has shown he’s a huge upgrade from Harrell. But for $€!7 sake why would Walters throw the game on his OC’s shoulders rather than his own? Walters should be left in Illinois for that call.
By the way just so we are clear, I wanted hazell gone after his opening press conference when he got hired, in which he said he was going to play tressel ball at Purdue. As bad as he was, he was just slightly better than the shit we have watched this year.Didn’t say it wasn’t but the Hazell days were far worse than this.
So you’re saying it was a better decision to put the game in the hands of a coach 2 years removed from HS than it was our HC that is a defensive savant? Walters should be walked out after that. Defend Walters as long as you want but today was a clear example that the guy isn’t ready to be a head coach.Going for 2 was 100% the right call. We were 2/2 on 2 pt conversions up to that point. Just because it failed doesn’t change that going for 2 was the right thing to do.
I’ve never seen defense this bad. Hazell’s teams had bad scores because the offense was a 3 and out machine, but so was this team till about an hour ago.Short memory. This team can’t stop anyone. Not even to meat of schedule. That was not a an outstanding offense doing whatever they wanted against us today
Hazell left ten guys who graded over 70 on defense for Jeff brohm in year one. And I know that wasn’t nick holt working miracles cause that number went to 7 then 3 by 2019.Didn’t say it wasn’t but the Hazell days were far worse than this.

Nil era imo.Seeing Browne shine, makes the case that the staff made the wrong choice sticking with Card……..what other bad personal choices are they making?
Didn’t say it wasn’t but the Hazell days were far worse than this. And this isn’t ?
Or until he transfers.Browne is the quaterback for this team for a long time
And this isn’t ?Let’s just agree to disagree on that. Hazell left a $h!7 show when he got canned.

had to go for 2 because we couldn't and didn't stop their passing all day. had to go for the win good callThat last play is purely on the coaching staff. Walters wiped away all the progress from this game with a crappy call at the end.
Correct season over , on road go for itOn the road against a ranked team? Yeah, go for the win.
He knows his defense sucks. Walters is a defense guru after all.Defense couldn't stop them - I don't mind them going for it.....wish they could have executed it better.
A lot of indications that the kid behind him is actually our future. Now that teams have tape on Browne, we’ll see how he looks if he in-fact continues to play…Seeing Browne shine, makes the case that the staff made the wrong choice sticking with Card……..what other bad personal choices are they making?
Probably some true freshman that could be difference makers on this defense. Koy Beasley?Seeing Browne shine, makes the case that the staff made the wrong choice sticking with Card……..what other bad personal choices are they making?
Defense sucks.40pt second half from the Boilers - and it still wasn't enough. Helluva game, though - and fight.
