Agree completely. I really don't get how somehow it's more noble because CMP didn't get any transfers. I'm pretty sure he won't be as noble next year!

I am up to here with fans that say stupid stuff like "refs didn't affect the outcome" or "refs aren't why we lost".

Man, I’m not sure what you’re seeing but let’s just say no contact was made. The intent was there to kick back his foot to hit furst in the groin. That alone is an F2. Just like your boy X grabbing Rutgers junk and Gunn head butting Klesmit. Intent was there.

look at our incoming class. We signef Cox, Harris and Benter. We signed 0 small forwards! Look at the future! We signed West for next year and Ertel for the following year! We already had Myles and Wadell.

Purdue has a big hole at the small forward position now and no signs of filling that position in the future.

I expect both Smith and Loyer to return for another year. I expect Smith to continue to play 35-40 minutes a game. So basically all of our talent is packed into 2 positions. And we are really hurting for depth in our front court! And please don’t try to tell me that Heide is a power forward!


These players are all great players, but we need players who can rebound. We need physical players rather than ones who like to catch and shoot!

Ask yourself, what will Benter and West provide us next year that we currently don’t have? I see zero improvement over our current team with their additions. They will just take minutes from Cox and Myles.

At least a player like Sisley would have added a new dimension. A 300 pound center would also be nice!

We have enough 175 pound shooters!

As for Gillis, I know everything that was stated publicly to the media and what you read off your internet sites! All three seniors said they weren’t coming back at the beginning of the year! That’s what Painter and the media published to the fans!

However, I personally believe after playing for Purdue all those years, if Gillis had second thoughts and wanted to stay at Purdue for 1 more year, Painter would have found a loop hole to allow him to stay! It’s not like Stephens who wanted to leave the program! It seems very logical if Gillis came to Painter in June after Catchings left, painter would have worked his magic to bring him back.

Admittedly none of this made the media. The real reason Catchings left didn’t make the media either and neither did Burgess’ conditioning issues.

You didn’t read/listen. Gillis and Painter on separate podcasts (not the media) said the same thing and it was decided before last year. Gillis would have had to de-commit from Duke, back out of his NIL and then pay his own way or a current Purdue player all of a sudden would have been off scholarship. None of that would make sense. Especially with the incoming talent Duke had vs Purdue.

The portal closed on May 1st. Catchings, according to you, decommitted in June. Therefore, painter could not have used the portal. He could have gone after any guys that weren’t committed to a school, but I would venture there weren’t very many and probably not what Purdue was looking for.

I am not sure why we changed our defensively philosophy. We played so well in the last 10 minutes of the first half, because we packed in the middle and dared them to beat us from outside. They are horrible shooters from the outside as a team, so it worked.

The defense spread out in the second half, and they were given 3 to 6 foot shots, which even their team can hit. Don't understand why we stopped doing what was working so well.
