Having said that I do want to qualify my comment with as I always say it will be matchup and pace of play driven. Alabama started 3 6-10+ players last night and usually has at least 2 on the court at any given time . It’ll be fun to see how paint addresses this. Doubt he puts Gicarri Harris or Loyer on one.

6 Rs encouraging! He uses his jumping ability well. Sometimes he even uses his quickness to box out. But he needs to work on boxing out 100% of the time though, and not relying on his jumping ability all the time.

They're getting "better" on D, but still a ways to go. I think we'll take some lumps (maybe bad losses) against good teams early. BS loose ball handling going to be a problem if it keeps showing up. Play them again later. ;)

Fact is our interior D and defensive rebounding are not close to B10 champs level. Coach has a lot of work to do to instill the WILL to box out.

It would be a shame for a team with these great guards to not figure it out.

Heide got 6 Rs in limited minutes. Encouraged by that. Conversely, not encouraged by the times he is preferring to use jumping ability over boxing out.

Our inside guys & even guards need to develop a nasty attitude and seek out & attack their guy for position. Something to watch.

At times in the past they called CMP Mr. January. I think it's going to take every bit of the time between now and then to coach these guys into the mental toughness they need to have without Edey.

Did you watch the game? They looked great with TKR and Heide and painter was thrilled with that and all but said they will play more of that.

Yeah yeah and Colvin was going to leave for not being a starter. And Furst was not a 4 (he played some last night as well with TKR defending the 5!) And that catchings left because painter wouldn’t play him at the 3 since you know painter is so rigid at playing everyone at their prescribed positions.

For sure. But give it time. It’s 3 games in. Things will figure themselves out. It may take until mid February, but we need to all understand that we don’t have the NPOTY x2 and the most dominant player in college bball since Shaq in the middle anymore. We are going to be OK, it just won’t be as much dominance as we have had.

Opportunity for freshman to get tons of mins and gain experience. Also, time for Smith to really take over this team as his own and show how good he is.

Excited for Bama to see how we measure up. Going to be verrrry tough as we know they’re very good.

You watch the game? Refs were atrocious…just horrid. Kept Yale in the game.

Also, Yale picked second in its conference. Went to tournament last year and upset Auburn…they return 6 players from that team, including their current best player this year (the best player from last years team, Wolf, went to Michigan) .

So yeah, Wole, they are going to be good…probably will be in tournament again.

Anyway, Chump fired them because they weren’t Flavor Aiders. Similar to the ones that resigned. For example, the cyber security dude. I can see 1 or 2 folks not doing their job and get fired. But there were scores of folks that resigned under Chump. How many chief of staffs did he go through. Good gracious.

Of course he did. He says stupid things. That's nothing new.

Wrong. The people that left and that were fired were people that are part of the problem. Part of the machine that we the people want to dismantle. Stop listening to those people. They are poisoning your brain.

Just like how the Democrats are saying Trump is a threat to democracy, yet they yuck it up at some dinner. You don't do that with someone that you really believe is a threat to democracy.
