Another decommitt...

He’s an awful awful recruiter but we’ve done a lot worse
agree w/ this, the guy that I would really go after is Bronco Mendenhal, he turned around BYU and Virginia, currently at New Mex. ( Purdue is more viable ), Dickert from Wash St, or the coach at Austin Peay ( Scotty Walden ) who is 26 -14 and an up and comer w/ strong recruiting ties to the state of Texas

How Trump is going to save the auto industry

I grew up in the Hamptons. During summer vacations and some Holidays, I worked in the fields at the Cornel Research Farm, and on weekends, I worked as a busboy and dishwasher. I wanted money to put myself through college, and there was no job I wouldn't do. The woke media today is telling kids that the jobs I did are beneath them, so just lay back, and the government will support you.

Not to brag, but my problem in school was that it was too slow because some students could not keep up. Today, our schools have to accommodate non-English-speaking students. Teachers are dropping like flies because their jobs require so much more. Hospitals are being overburdened. I have to buy car insurance for uninsured motorists. They can't read English but are driving without knowing what the signs mean or say. So yes, these people threaten not only my existence and wealth but my friends, family, and fellow LEGAL Americans,

So you are trusting a young man to make the right choice to say no to going on a trip or not putting it in a girl's drink or even not taking the drug that would give him the courage to speak to a girl. Good for you. Then again, you trust a five-year-old with the decision whether to mutilate his or her genitals. Say, I have an idea; let's punish those who do drugs, and let's try to eliminate choosing who is to blame by better securing the border. One caveat. Let's not have DAs like Kamala, who sent black teenagers to prison for smoking weed to show people their persecution record.

When I have time, I will research Kenosha.

Buying a better quality car is capitalism. Kamala's Marxism is you have to buy an electric car. Trump's forte is moving car manufacturing plants back to America, where they can produce the car you want.

Was your Uncle a woman, or did he have another diversity that prevented the Chevy plant from firing him? If not, the Chey plant had the right to fire him for any reason, or they could keep him on if he brought value.

Bingo - well said.

Here is the other side of the coin - if Painter lands either SWA or Singleton, people will forget about Sisley and be excited about their upside.

Painter and staff know what they are building. Based on PJ’s interview the other day, he isn’t afraid to adjust his schemes based on the talent and rosters. PJ made a point that in his 10 years with Purdue, they have yet to miss the tourney. You don’t do that by being rigid.

Last point PJ made was about conditioning and training. Said they got rid of a lot of the track workouts and other running stuff. This got some good replies from Vince and others….

Won't land SWA... he's top50 🤣

Lance Jones who fills his shoes this year

Brian has said that having a secondary ball handler is important to Painter. So, it sounds like Harris/Cox will have larger roles on this years team than originally thought.
And the key with that, that Fletcher is NOT that secondary ball handler. He's talked about that as a change from 22-23 to 23-24 with bringing Lance in. Let Fletch do what Fletch does best.

One Really Violent Day

It doesn't, you just think it does because you're not willing to consider that people who are different from you can still be good employees or, even, good people. Thankfully, this attitude seems to be gradually fading.
What industry do you work? Do your kids have purple hair and a nose ring?
Trust me, not white collar professional job is going to be held by someone who looks like a clown.
Now, that being said, perhaps they can get a job in the democrat administration.

Lance Jones who fills his shoes this year

I think the real answer is 25% Braden, 25% Fletcher, 25% Cam/Myles, 25% frosh.
Lance took a load off Braden and Fletch as underclassmen last year.
Now upperclass, it's on them to be stronger and better and spend time dealing with those guys that Lance took by default.
I really liked how Cam came on at the defensive end late in the year. We know his energy and shooting will be there. If he becomes a reliable team defender this team goes up 1/2 a step. Myles seemed to be getting it as well but had more room to grow as of last year. With his athleticism if he's stronger and works swing man defender could end up our best defensive position. That would be awesome!
Lastly if the frosh (a frosh) can play, that and some ball handling will be the job. Focus and effort could net them small rotation roles on a possibly very good team.
It's a key issue and how they answer it will be Large factor in the success of this team.

Purdue picked to win Big Ten

Wow, I suck at this today. Here’s the question I’m trying to ask. If Woody wins the Big Ten and makes the second weekend this year, can he survive a bubble season the following season to come back for an additional season after that?
Tom Crean couldn't... So... Maybe? Woody has way more pull than Crean did. But he got fired after winning 2 B1G titles in 4 years and missing the tourney twice. There was a lot of background stuff to it but he still got fired. Would they fire Woody? I don't think they would just because of who he is. He will have to retire to leave IMO.

Walters

It's alright to admit you were wrong about Walters.
But I never thought Walters was great. Regardless of who the hire was I was going to be in their corner because it’s just not currently a desirable job. Once pay for play ramped up, Purdue was going to be hiring amongst a low low pool until revenue sharing kicked in.

I never thought about Walters the way wole thought about the mad hatter coming here instead of brohm.

Walters has coached like a guy who is on his way to being fired and I can’t figure out if Harrell was actually worse than Diaco and hazell, or just tied.

That still doesn’t mean that a safe hire who was highly likely to be better than Walters, just without the upside, wasn’t going to have big big problems due to brohm not recruiting his last 3 years.

If Walters is fired and the Toledo coach is hired for example… that coach will STILL have problems next year due to brohm. His high school senior class will basically be Devin Mockobee, max Klare and who else? So, pretend we hire a guy you three really like. Brohm will have made it harder on that guy too. Get it?

Walters

its interesting that 2 completely different receiver rooms have underperformed 2 years in a row. But I'm sure it's because of the players...
Not sure where you’re getting that. Burks pff grade was ridiculously higher than the previous year and he got PAID by Oklahoma. It’s just that the previous year his grade and body of work was a joke. Sheffield got marginally better. Yaseen got better but got hurt.

This year you have a true freshman, an Indy guy with no burst and a Georgia transfer who played very few snaps at a low low grade for Georgia (morrisette). But the OC was fired and I agree .. so what are you on?

It doesn’t mean that that level of player was going to work miracles under creighton

Another one bites the dust for trump.

Still waiting for you to provide an additional negative "comment" by JD about the first Trump term. You only provided one - and that one had no context.
Additional? I provided the string of comments exactly how JD Vance stated it.

And this is another attempt to off-topic attack the messenger instead of addressing the subject of Tina Peters having to answer for her Trump-inspired election denialism.

You mean like Colvin, Furst, and TKR? All were top50 (or very close). Jacobsen would have been top 50 in 2025. Gicarri was a top 70 recruit, is there really a difference between top50 and top70?

Mullins amd Haralson were never "Plan A" guys, Mullins didn't even get an offer until this year and Haralson isn't a fot at Purdue. Sisley was the only real recruit for awhile in 2025 due to our scholarship availability, and getting him away from IU was always going to be difficult. (shouldnt have even been close if IU wasn't a shitshow) Catchings flaking out and other goings on gave us more room. And Painter wisely spread the net out further than Sisley over the summer.

Walters

What you fail to acknowledge is that in 2022/23 and thereafter, kids aren’t going to stick around for the next coach.

We could have had a loaded roster, most of those kids were going to leave.

22 months later in the portal era you can’t get mad that the previous coaches guys are. No longer here Most guys on D got the boot. Look what that got us. On O we still have 3 starters from the 22 line. Our TE and RB are Brohm recruits. This coach ran off all the leftover WRs and replaced them with guys who aren’t as good or are injured all the time.

If we had a good coach, we’d be competent. 6-7 wins last year would have been no issue. 5-7 wins this year should have been possible. Looks utterly unobtainable now.

This team is backsliding and talking about Brohm, Hope, Hazell, Colleto or any relic of the past has no bearing on the abject coaching failures of THIS staff. So stop?
Who was good amongst those who stayed? Like 5 players man. Hartwig, Mbow, Jenkins. Scourton and Mockobee. I’ll count Kane as well even though he had one of the worst coverage grades in America in the 4-2-5

Now, again, not claiming Walters is good. .. saying even if he was good/if we hired someone else. And you had other players like

Marvin Grant
Jaylan alexander
Dedrick Mackey
Sannousi Kane
Lawrence Johnson
Cam Allen
Spencer hostege
Gus Hartwig
Marcus Mbow
Milton wright
Payne Durham

And others.. Really busting out and showing on an individual level that they were developed as previously undeveloped players as was the case in 2021, that would be one thing. What you saw is a lot of guys who didn’t bust out like so many did in 2021. You had a new staff dealing with a lot of guys who didn’t even do anything at g5 when they transferred out

If we had hired Chris creighton, that was going to be a problem. And that’s on Jeff brohm.

For the 40th time, that doesn’t make Ryan Walters pj fleck. Two things can be true at the same time

So, in your response, make sure you start with these ideas as being accepted by me

Walters deserves to be fired if he doesn’t have a massive turnaround
Harrell was as bad as hazell and Diaco at his job

Another one bites the dust for trump.

.
Prediction 100% on target. When queried about election denialism and threats to democracy, you respond with a candidate's spouses affair.

You cannot stay on a point of substance even when called out in advance for your expected failure to do so.

No, I added bolding to highlight my admiration for the application of the rule of law and the rejection for those that engage in the deliberate subversion of our democratic ideals and institutions.

Instead of playing grammar, font, and poster-identity police, you should do the same. Good god, have you no shame?

Prediction: diverting/pivot to hunterbiden's laptop or Hillary Clinton in the basement of a pizza parlor or Kamala Harris misogynistic nickname.

What game footage are you basing this on?? What are you seeing??
Likely absolutely nothing.

By rare chance, you might be right. You could be right just because frosh take awhile. But there are reports these two will be bigtime players. How soon, we will see.
Wole must be getting different reports…maybe he’s in practice every day? 😂

Yep. The program is as strong right now as it has ever been. I would argue that Purdue has the strongest program in the Big Ten and aside from the perennial blue bloods, including UConn, Purdue is on the top tier of programs nationally. The NIL dollars may not be the highest, but Purdue’s strength is in its culture, leadership, and fan base.
And we don’t even know really about NIL…no one really knows.

Purdue picked to win Big Ten

IU will start the year after the approaching one with Reneau, Sisley, Newton, Cupps, Tucker, Carlyle, and Rice. That's assuming that Mgbako is a pro after year two, and that Rice, Carlyle, Tucker, and Reneau are not 1st rounders (I wouldn't expect they would be). That would be three returning starters plus a five star rotation sophomore returning. Filling a roster with two or three more freshmen and a few portal bigs is just fine at that point.

It will be an 'Edey-like' decision for each of the 'possible-but probably not 1st round' potential pros. Given the state of college basketball, each can make more at a P5 school than playing in the G-League or Europe, all while working toward a degree and frankly, enjoying a life style that doesn't consist of unlimited bus rides and mediocre hotels. I guess the counter is, if Reneau, Tucker, Carlyle, and Rice are first rounders, then IU is going to have one hell of a year, but will need a whole new roster.
Guessing most iu fans are fine with being the next KY after all these years of sucking the big one.

Another one bites the dust for trump.

No, I added bolding to highlight my admiration for the application of the rule of law

You mean the same rule of law that the illegal aliens are violating? And K2, supporting this blatant violation of our countries laws by letting all these illegals in, including dangerous characters and even criminals into this great country, and giving them $66 Billion of taxpayer monies they aren't entitled to.

Being a mite selective aren't you? Outraged by supposedly Trump & Trumpites breaking the law ....but not batting an eye at illegals??
