Military experience and brains are great. Doesn't qualify you to run the largest employer in the country. As a matter of fact, most SODs didn't serve in the military at all. Those that did went on to serve in the government for years or manage large private companies before getting the job. Hegseth went on Fox to complain about DEI, trash the military and write some books in between his extramarital affairs.

The existence of NIL seems all the more reason not to fund athletics through the academic endowment. That would be a disgrace, whether funds went directly to NIL or just to subsidize things athletic donors were otherwise going to pay for and free them up to give that money to NIL. It would just be an indirect way of funding the NIL, and if schools do this, the effect will be a catalyst on the cancerous growth of NIL.

IMHO donors should feel that their money has to be split between athletic donations and NIL, and this should rightfully upset them.

Can Purdue win this game

On paper, it looks like a loss. All of the weaknesses of this Purdue team seem to be strengths for Alabama. Post defense and rebounds are a huge red flag in this game. Alabama plays three guys at 6’11” in the post and Purdue plays one seven footer alongside a guy 6’8”.

Well, the game won’t be played on paper. It’s being played in Mackey. So, all bets are off and the game comes down to who produces.

Alabama shoots a lot of threes. Alabama is shooting horribly thus far from deep so Purdue has a chance here.

Alabama likes to attack the rim and Purdue thus far has struggled to keep teams out of the paint. Advantage Alabama here.

Purdue is shooting 44% from deep. Tonight it will need for Alabama to continue missing while also have Purdue hitting it’s average on a higher number of attempts. Purdue has a chance here.

Does Mackey add an advantage against a very old Alabama team who just played in the final four? I think it can and will.

The question is, does Purdue have a chance to win tonight? I think it does but the team will really need to step up in areas they have been struggling with.

I personally have this game as a loss but I also wouldn’t be surprised to see this very talented Purdue team win this one at home.

I personally do not think she is a Marxist or anything else. She took whatever identity her handlers told her to take, changing 180 degrees on positions if they told her to.

I do agree with those who have said she was really good at putting her head down and going to work, but what she was working for other than herself is not evident.

Understood and agree. Bobinski already has said it’s not about the money and I believe it. My point was just saying it’s not a good argument so let’s not make money a factor. We 1,5 years of harrells contact and surely we have no problem doing the same for a good assistant coach.

Those with an eye to see, and an ear to hear, and of course a brain that worked ,knew things didn't add up since the previous election! How this was amiss for so many shows the failures of the schools with so many taking their cue from the media in spite of the previous bias to swallow the gullible pablum fed to them, with reality staring them in the face!

Course some of that was due to the focus on the protest/riot against the insurrection on jan 6 with distracted thought
