Purdue +2 tonight

I could see that. PSU can play out of their minds and beat Purdue. My Dad has watched them and says at times they play very well.

I can also see CMP drilling into those guys to get ready, road game hostile environment. Our big 3 could respond and have a nice win. Hope the other guys come to play also.

Wonder which way it will go?
I can see maybe an even line, just wasn’t expecting to see Purdue at a plus 2, usually I’m close in predicting lines, figured Purdue would be the slight favorite.

With a ranked Purdue coming in they might get 8,000 or so, maybe?? Certainly can make some noise. But yes you are correct they do often have half empty areanas. Purdue will have to play well to win on the road, as ALWAYS is the case no matter where you go.

Last three home games were 7,200; 6,500; 6,600....I would expect a little more this evening, although it's an early tip - 6:30 pm (Eastern time). I would not touch this game - could really go either way @ The Tomb.......of course, I am not Mr. Vegas either......

What about Chuck?

Look at this from a coach’s perspective. I have to believe the UNC coaching position will pay just as much as Purdue. If you were the coach, which job would you rather have?

I have to believe there are better opportunities for coaches than the Purdue job. And what you will see is a pool of young assistants with no proven record of being able to handle a head coaching job. Or an old guy with a record that is mediocre in a mediocre conference.

Can a guy with a mediocre record at any MAC school produce a winner at Purdue?

You raise the names of the guy at Memphis and Liberty. They haven’t been fired. Would they just leave their current situation to come to Purdue? Or would they rather stay where they are for 1-2 more years to see what other openings pop up?

I have a feeling a lot of people here will be very disappointed in the actual hire and with the other candidates who actually were interviewed. And you will be shouting. Fire BOBO.

A poster said bobo didn’t want to fire Walters but the Purdue President ordered him to do so. Is it possible BOBO might just hire a mediocre candidate out of spite for the president doing BOBO’s job?

The problem with Walters was his assistants just didn’t mesh together. To be successful the next coach is going to have to bring his assistants with him. I’m unsure if that will limit the field of candidates or not.
There are literally 3 other decent head coaching jobs available right now UNC, WVU and UCF, and we are the only current opening in the P2 of the Big Ten and SEC. I would think we're in a good spot to land a good candidate.

B1G metrics ranks entering December

Based on what I've seen, I'd go:

Illinois 14-6
Purdue 14-6
UCLA 13-7
Oregon 13-7
Michigan 12-8
Wisconsin 12-8

Ohio State could sneak into that group but I'm not sure I see anyone else doing it right now. Rutgers' freshmen are talented but they don't have enough around them to endure the gauntlet of the B1G. Maryland and MSU look solid but a step behind. No idea what to make of IU.
IU has become the essential ingredient in turd brownies!~

Purdue beats Maine 60-51

Transfers scored 43 of the 60 points for Purdue. Amiyah started instead of Swanson and still showed next to nothing in her 28 minutes scoring 4 points and notching only 2 assists.
Not disagreeing - seems less than stellar for sure. I didn’t see or listen to the game, so no opinion one way or the other …

Here’s CKG post game comments on her play. Her take is much more positive, which is not unexpected.

Sotomayor compares Transgender Treatments to taking Aspirin

And you had Ketanji Brown comparing it to interracial marriages because we have to somehow make everything a racial issue.

When the lefty extremist hire these DEI picks any wild statements are possible. They certainly were not hired for their superior constitutional intellect. Yes they have some smarts, degrees and experience, but the very best were overlooked by the left extremists, so the DEI pick could prevail.

And the statements by these two leftist extremist DEI judges show America who they are and how they don't really measure up to the standard.

Down goes #1 KU and #2 Auburn

You mean DJ, correct?

And the more experience and confidence players get, the better. That’s why they can be a great team next year in 26.

Can be a great team this year IF they get hot at the right time. Somehow 3pete and make a little tourney run by hitting shots. March is all about matchups so until then, hope this team keeps getting better. So far, they have.

Like everyone is saying, a tough 4 game stretch coming up to see what this team is made of. Historically, Purdue is not good in December with conference opponents. Hopefully that changes this year.

Yes and corrected.

Hell to pay

Oh FfS they did not. Lying out your ass. The Keystone pipeline wasn't even shipping US oil. Oil prices are based on global supply and demand, not one pipeline on the US that produces nothing.
More oil and NG were produced in the last two years in the US than ever before. But regulations right?

No, it isn't even close to the same thing. Weak deflection.
Yeah that was Canadian oil proposed to be shipped via the Keystone pipeline through the US to the Gulf just to be shipped around the world to be refined elsewhere.

Purdue +2 tonight

Penn State is far from a hostile environment. If anything, the players need to get ready for a dead environment. We have to bring our own energy because the Penn State crowd isn’t going to.

Yeah, I have to say that I'm not very confident going into B1G play. This team just doesn't seem to have a lot of punch. Kindof reminds me of Versyp's latter teams when getting into the mid-60s was a real struggle. At least Destini Lombard has looked strong. Reagan Bass to a lesser extent--but she needs to bring it against top teams. Trouble is, both of those players are one-year stopgaps.

I agree with alot of what you are saying. Save one item....

Now that Colvin & Heide are providing the 4th scorer.......I don't see any major difference between this team by March this year or next March. Slightly better, sure. But to be just a good team in March 25 which I agree....But then being a great FF team in March 26. ....that's a major difference with pretty much the same core players.

Unless players are added that provide that difference. This includes a possible healthy JD.....which his continued health maybe can be counted on....maybe not? That I hope, and we will see. But hope another guy is added besides our core+ JD.

Once this team defines their identity and builds that chemistry, they will be good team. Not great, but good. I see the entire year as a development year for the FF push next season as this team will be TOUGH AS NAILS.

Actually 2....another (Ross) got hurt during game. Zaide Lowery game before
Ah and Ross caused havoc for us…
But Wow Ross in a walking boot after spraining it and Lowery with a knee injury and is already ruled out vs Wisky.

I see Jones almost had another triple double.
They’ll need him to play even better (he’s playing great now) vs Wisconsin this weekend.

Perhaps you should learn to read. I did not suggest that the US do any of this. We should supply Israel with the weaponry to shut down the oil terminals on Iran's coast. That will stop them from shipping oil. No boots on the ground.
Oh you didn't? You certainly didn't say Israel should do it. When you said "Stopping the oil should be Job One" you were referring to Israel? Why didn't you say Israel should do it from the beginning? You think Israel doesn't have the weapons right now to take out the terminals? 6 months ago? A year ago?
