OT-Belichick

Such an odd situation. I know he has ties there from when his dad coached, but it's just weird. Why would he want to do that other than grooming his son? He's preaching about turning the program into a NFL minor league system. I have doubts it will work.
Maybe all those rich UNC alumni working in the Research Triangle will pony up a huge NIL and he'll be able to recruit well. The one benefit is that the ACC is easier to win than the SEC or Big 10.

From what I've seen up here in Boston, his pride took a hit after the Pats went south at the end of his gig. I still don't see it working.

OC

the mathew sluka NIL issue was kind of a screwy situaiton. This article says Sluka was offered an amount verbally by the OC, but there wasn't a signed contract. Sluka has an agent, but they apparently didn't get any documented agreement on NIL and Sluka left the team because he wasn't being paid.

Barry Odom contract details revealed

No no no, I was specifically told how Purdue spends money wasn't an issue.
Based on what was said at the press conference, Odom said the AD and Purdue leadership was aligned with him. Last time we had different leadership. This is the first time Bobinski has almost apologetically said they will spare no expense. The commitment to the full $20.5m, no handcuffing with assistant pools, payout of Walters buyout plus $3m for odoms buyout, and this contract are good starts.

It looks like UNC has officially offered Belichick. Im sure he'll be able to draw some recruits base on his reputation, but I'm not convinced at all that he'll be a good hire for them.

We're on to Duke.

Looks like it's a done deal...

If the oc comes with great .. but then you have to hire equal innovators when said innovator gets a top job

I told you what I was holding out illiterate moron. Offensive innovator. How you get that that means saban is ridiculous. You claim that the job is a good one. Should be easy to find an offensive innovator at the cradle of QBs if you are going to pay for players.
OC is not being asked to come to Purdue I have learned today

Daniel Penny, American Hero.

You sound like someone who as never been threatened in an enclosed space. As someone who rode the DC metro for years, self defense is not being a vigilante. He didn't set out to beat someone up on the train. Get real.
I also rode the Metro in DC daily and ride the T in Boston pretty much daily now. Never felt remotely threatened in either space, and I used to ride the DC Metro really late at night on weekends.

2 flips from UNLV

Probably 03 since we had 3.

Not sure I will ever live to see a trio at Purdue better than Koutivides, Johnson and Gardner. I believe Joe Odom came off the bench for that team as well.
They also had Iwuchukwu as a freshman. Keglar also would have made the rotation but had a high ankle sprain early in the season. Even George Hall from those linebackers had a cup of coffee in the NFL. Talk about a loaded linebacking corps. That whole D was incredibly talented.

Looks like it's a done deal...

My contention was that Purdue wouldn’t be desirable to a top tier offensive mind even from g5 because that mind would want to know where his war chest was and Purdue would say that they don’t really do “that.”

I was told this was tired.

Barry odom is what you get when I ended up being right. Walters managed to screw us by being as bad as he was. Had he been just slightly bad and then been fired next year, now Purdue can sell revenue sharing to said coach. Now you hire Odom and if he’s just okay, people will say “you can’t fire a guy after one 5-7 season just because Purdue is a more desirable location due to revenue sharing being finalized.

The upside of this is a Bret bielema like performance. But bielema is doing it with wealthier alum who care about sports and with better access to Chicago athletes
I'm not going to dance around a ? , my top tier was Silverfield, Chadwell, and Sumrall. My 2nd tier was Mendenhall, Odom, and Albin. So I will conclude this w/ giving the hiring as a B-
