Former commit "going through it right now"

True....based on these weird decisions he has made in his career thus far, wouldn't surprise me seeing him try the draft and end up in Europe or going to the portal and being a kid who has 4 schools in 4 years type.
IMO, he has a better shot at making an NBA team than Euro league. That league is made up of the hardest working men and every play is contested. Clearly not his game. China maybe?

Purdue at Washington: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Most of the takes are good, there’s like 3 people that every game act like Purdue should be perfect, I think 1 person has 2 accounts he posts under, usually one post quickly follows the other of another name. Also, I realize people have opinions, however, don’t tell me you’re a Purdue fan when your stating how TKR should be benched the entire second half and the reserves need to play the second half, if Painter does that he’s giving up the game which he’ll never do. Also, I read your health stuff, get well buddy!
Thank you. Just something that happens to a lot of us. Other than reduced sleep, fatigue, losing muscle which in some cases is turning to fat, and no temperature regulation I feel fine. ;) Hopefully, in March the effects wear off and next fall we find out if the radiation was at least an early success. Compared to many I am fortunate...

Stealing Credit for the Gaza Ceasefire

"There’s little doubt Donald Trump’s intervention was the main reason for the Gaza ceasefire but predictably Joe Biden, who facilitated genocide until the bitter end, is saying it was him on his way out the door, says Joe Lauria."
Again, REAL journalism, not fake corporate news.

Braun Eliminates DEI

My

My company has a DEI office which strives to create opportunities for minorities in our industry. No one seems to have a problem with it other than MAGA people. Racism still exists in our country and if you don't believe go live in the south. Most whites no idea what minorities and new immigrants are exposed to. What is wrong with trying to make life better for the less fortunate? How does that hurt you?

I have no problem giving qualified people a chance, but I've seen far too many good employees laid off because they don't check the right arbitrary boxes, and too many bad employees kept because they do check the right arbitrary box.

Also, not always good for morale when the director of your department has no issue saying in meetings that she would love to replace all the male workers with females and increasing the number of females in the department is one of her goals. So, any rumblings of layoffs, I have to worry that my number will be called because I check none of the arbitrary boxes, she publicly states are very important to her.

Any idea who Coach Painter is talking about?

Even if Morton had been "improving," Jones was a better player than him, and offered something no one else on the team had like him, athleticism.

It's about the team. Folks are too focused on individual players. If a big man comes in that Painter thinks is the next Edey, do you think he will say, no, I'm not going to take him because all my players are improving?
Morton is a great example of someone being replaced by the portal. By all accounts, Morton was a guy Painter loved, was loyal, worked hard, good teammate, etc, etc. But, he wasn't productive on the floor and was someone Painter saw an opportunity to upgrade.
I'm sure Morton wasn't happy about it.

Any idea who Coach Painter is talking about?

Okay, let’s say it’s $4mil. Now how much of that do you think the big 3 are gobbling up? I would say >50%.
That's a great question. It depends on a number of things.
How motivated are they by money? (Yes, I realize that everyone is motivated by money, but you get my point).
Do they believe (and does it matter to them) that they can win a NC at Purdue?
What other teams are talking to them?
If Painter thinks he needs a couple of pieces for a NC run, can he convince them to consider that as part of the package in addition to the NIL $?

It's just a very gray area, but I wouldn't assume that the highest bidder is going to win all the portal battles.

‘Trump’s return to the White House will be bad for Israel as he will undoubtedly seek revenge’

Really good stuff that the corporate media like cnn and fox will not touch.

‘The Next Thing’…Netanyahu’s plans for executing the hostages in Gaza and blowing up Donald Trump’s ‘all hell breaking loose’ political victory on Jan

Really good points about Trump, working behind the scenes. Nutty-Netty is fuming.

Colvin and Heide yikes

And Koby Brea, the most sought after shooter in the transfer portal who is 6’7 and plays for Kentucky is 5/18 from 3 in the 3 Kentucky losses…what’s your point?

Do you want fletch to just be 50% every game? Cuz that doesn’t happen in bball.
My point was, that Fletch struggles against teams that can run him off the 3pt line and force him to do what he doesn't do well. But, those same teams also have the guys who give Smith problems, which I suppose lead to Fletch struggling against those teams as well.

The trouble with these kids is that everyone, coaches, fans, family, etc., is telling them that they have too much sauce. The trouble is that there are only a very select few kids that do have that sauce.
But that can be said for just about every top 100 recruit in the nation. For the most part, they've been the best player on the floor their entire life, been told how great they are, etc, etc. Having the right guidance when you're growing up is really important and realizing that eventually, everyone on the floor at this level is talented.

We are a FF contender if THIS version of Caleb Furst returns for the 24/25 season.

Purdue is playing well right now, but they're beating the hell out of teams they should beat the hell out of. "Beat the teams you're supposed to beat" as they say.
Unfortunately, the team has also be run off the floor a couple of times and been manhandled in their losses where they didn't have an answer.

In our 4 losses, Fletch is 2-13. 15%.

Only 1 unbeaten left in BT

They are very balanced on offense and have one guy in double figures. Not sure I’m too sold on them yet but we will find out over the next next month how good they are…and us too

I'm with you on MSU. Best wins are against a down North Carolina, @OSU, and @NW.

They have not stubbed their toe yet and are blasting some teams, so it does seem like they've turned the corner from the inconsistent and very average AJ Hoggard/Malik Hall era.

I’m not saying Smith will. But if somehow and that’s a BIG BIG BIG somehow he gets a guarantee to go first round, he should go. If not, then he will be back 100%.

There was a shot last night where he drove and it was more of an off balanced, one armed push shot (I think) and he missed it. And that’s a shot he needs to have in his bag for the next level, so I’d look for him to improve in being able to create and finish around the rim a lot more consistently. Not the layups around the rim but more so being able to pull up in traffic and score. That’s something he’s not shown he’s good at just yet. Of course that can improve but just something I think he’d def need to improve upon.

Also, he has the chance to be the all time leader in assists not only at Purdue but potentially of all time. I’d think he’d want that.

I hope Heide and Colvin (as you know) don’t leave. I think it’d be not the smartest decision for either.

Berg I can def see tho. He’s not going to get much PT at Purdue.
I really don't want to see either go either, and I believe Berg is one really good game from getting a lot more minutes.

Berg, TKR, and Furst up front with Smith and Loyer would give teams fits.

Personally, Smith is going to need another year to have a chance at the pros. He's a great player in college, but his size is going to be the issue.

Trump flexed, Hamas caved.. Shocker

Dude if you think just 4 words uttered by a fool is what led to this then you are more imbedded in the MAGA cult than ever. How about the months of negotiations between Netanyahu/Israel and Hamas that led to this. Give me a break.
How about slow Joe and Kammi pissing the Israelis off to the point BeBe refused to speak with Biden? And now, with Trump being in the negotiations with the Biden team in the last two weeks...as admitted by Blinken today...there's a so-called settlement.

Trump flexed, Hamas caved.. Shocker

But the deal did occur under Biden's watch.
Yes, lets give credit to Biden at the 11:59.99999999999999th hour when he hasn't been able to do anything. Not the incoming guy that has made tough demands before he gets into office and golly gee, it's happening RIGHT before he gets in office. Biden had plenty of time to make something happen and he couldn't. It's PAINFULLY obvious this is the Trump effect, but you obviously watch MSNBC way more than you let on.
