Upon seeing it live, I commented that it was childish and buffoonish but readily recognized that he was never trying to convince anyone that those were actually the President's words. Those suggesting so, including the President's disingenuous assertions, are at least equally childish and buffoonish. If you are assessing his credibility in that way, you were simply looking for a method to justify not believing anything concerning the investigation.
