Conservatives Against Trump

How about you name three Repub's you would support for Prez.
Since I was about 10 years old, I recall that the usual response, here, is -

I ASKED YOU FIRST.

I'll give you more than 3, after you demonstrate your knowledge of standard conversational manners.

All in the Family with Al Bundy is a better program than Cheers.
Good ol' Al Bundy -" Married with Children"......Chicago.
All in the Family - Archie Bunker - New York (Queens)
" The Matt Painter Show "......W. Lafayette, IN

But ita okay for east and west coasts states to continue paying for middle states programs
Right, New York City is subsidized by the federal government as are most large cities including Chicago. Why should the people in Nebraska have to pay for the east and west coasts if their vote won’t matter?

Exactly where are you getting your information that it's the red states that are subsidizing blue states/cities? That's completely opposite to the truth.

Well, the facts set out in ....

...suggest, maybe not so much

What? you don't even know what this means. This is ALL federal money. Not assistance to individuals. Look at Virginia. Why do you think it is so green? Huge federal work force, tons of forts, i think the largest naval base, marine corp, etc...This has nothing to do with subsidizing people. It just happens to be where a lot of this military/defense/intel infrastructure is located, not that all the individuals of other states are subsidizing broke ass virginians living off welfare.

More trouble for Republicans in the suburbs. Edwards won East Jefferson Parish, part of the New Orleans suburbs. That had been reliably Republican. Obama only got 26% of the vote there in 2008.

Democrats need to wake up. If Trump’s name is not on the ballot, none of this crap matters. That Parish, and others like it, will not vote for Warren, Sanders, or Pete.

The path to the White House is so simple for Democrats. Find a centrist who isn’t approaching 80.

Nope...could care less about that part. He's simply not a moderate....

Buttigieg's major policy positions include abolition of the United States Electoral College, Which everyone knows would allow the election of a Prez by the voters of a few liberal large states...NY, California to name two.

support for a public health insurance option

labor unions,

Abortion on demand

Unions

$15 per hour wage

Restructuring of the SCOTUS to as many as 15

And....single payer health insurance.

THAT MY FRIEND....IS NOT A MODERATE IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM.

Well apparently you don't understand his policies at all.

So now Labor Unions and Unions are "Very Liberal? A Medicare For All Who Want it Program that keeps private insurance plans in place is "Very Liberal"? A $15 minimum wage increase IS liberal but I wouldn't call it very liberal. Even moderate Democrats favor an increase in the minimum wage. If it was up to me I'd peg it at about $12 nationwide, that would get it caught back up with inflation adjusted numbers.

I'm not even going to touch your "Abortions on Demand" comment. That's ridiculous and you obviously are just painting him with the brush of your choice on that one.

Restructuring SCOTUS and the Electoral College are definitely two of his most liberal policies and if enacted would bring about the most dramatic changes of his Presidency -- though I don't know how serious Congress would take either of those and it would also take a constitutional amendment (eg state ratification) to get the Electoral College in place (so that isn't happening ... so calm down).

But all in all the man is a moderate, centrist.

Agreed, what’s wrong with the middle states having to pay for the east and west coasts programs?

It's exactly the opposite. States with small economies are supported by wealth in states like California and NY through systems like welfare, medicare, social security, etc.

States like Kentucky and Arkansas are receiving far more wealth than they are paying out, and much of that wealth comes from the coasts.

There are more than 49 million Medicare beneficiaries in the United States in total. The top ten states with the highest number of Medicare beneficiaries, according to the data, are:

• California — 5 million
• Florida — 3.52 million
• Texas — 3.18 million
• New York — 3.09 million
• Pennsylvania — 2.35 million
• Ohio — 1.97 million
• Illinois — 1.90 million
• Michigan — 1.72 million
• North Carolina — 1.56 million
• New Jersey — 1.37 million

Doesn't look that red to me...

You just listed 9 of the 10 most populous states, and Jersey is 11. Nice work!

How some people come to see black and call it white. how?

ya...that's the point. it's not really a partisan thing but do carry on like it is...
and where do you think majority of the funds to pay those medicare come from? Kentucky? Idaho.

Red states on average are moochers from blue states. The facts don't lie!

It doesn't appear that to be the case to me. These larger states have more dept per person than larger states.

The more people the more money debt has been accrued. I see where one can see both sides of the discussion.

All I know is Chicago is in debt over its head and has to constantly go to Springfield to get more. It's the biggest reason the state of Illinois is broke.
yet without all the industries and people living in chicago, the entire state would be worse off.

you're making stupid arguments. debt stocks is not how you measure who is subsidizing who. Debt stock only tells you how that entity chooses to appropriate their funds and manage their budgets. It tell us nothing about who is subsidizing who.

Consider this example, US has more debts (total and per capita) than a lot of smaller nations it gives aid too. By your reasoning, those small countries with less debt are therefore the ones subsidizing the US, right? you see how stupid that sounds.

We interrupt this program with an urgent message !!

What the hell does a list of Medicare beneficiaries from the most populous states have to do with making some broader point ?? That 1/2 of them ought to be moving to less populated states ??
That reducing benefits to these tens of millions of people would redistribute the tax dollars in a more deserving way ???

TopSecret just learned that California and New York have larger populations than Alabama and West Virginia. I"m assuming that's why he posted it, to share that knowledge, not sure what other point he could possibly be making.

I admitted there are two ways to look at it. In any event all cities, states, and country are broke.

There's really not two way to look at what you were arguing. You're arguing apples while looking at oranges.

I can assure you, you have no facts or don't understand what the ones you have actually say. In your graph, blue virginia is the biggest moocher in the union. LOL dumbass.

Look, more debt per person isn’t contributing to the states which have less debt per person. New York, California, Illinois are more reliant on the federal government for money no matter how much they are taxed and put in the pot. Like I said everything is broke depending on what extent. Again I can see the discussion both ways.I’m out.

Facts matter, your personal feelings are irrelevant. The facts are the exact opposite of what you claim.

Getting back on topic, another conservative that realizes the danger of Trump.
To say Painter "realizes the danger of Trump" is understatement of historic proportions to anyone who has ever listened to him comment on the President. He is the "I would rather be boiled in oil and eaten by worms while still alive than be a Trumper," and I really have come to respect his consistency of view.
Kudos, for mentioning him.

Yea, that guy pulls NO punches. Former Ethics chief under Bush.
His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Please please please tell me you didn't go to Purdue. If so, please keep it to yourself (or TopSecret).

Let the South split off and let Trump run all the racist, bible thumping people that love him. I am perfectly good with that. They can celebrate all the Confederate holidays, put women in red cloaks with white funny hats and get rid of all the immigrants. Let's see how that works out.

The guy who was having a mental breakdown during day 1 of the Ukraine 3rd hand testimony hearings probably shouldn't be attempting to shame others.
