People on this board answer posts with "liberals" this and "liberals" that, thus characterizing anyone who is against Trump as some sort of crazy or stupid lockstep liberal. This is a chance to acknowledge that it isn't just liberals who oppose Trump by naming some of those conservatives who oppose him.

Here are 3 - 1. George Conway III, 2. Rex Tillerson 3. George Wills.

" Soaked the middle class" ?? Bailing out the richest of the rich ??
No....you're missing the point.
Obama tried to have everyone in Red States rounded up ,and sent to Gas Chambers for the purpose of ridding the country of most of its conservatives.

As long as you're going to make up mindless rewrites of the last Administration......you might as well go for it....

Geez, this isn’t that complicated. I don’t like Trump. I prefer his policies and judicial nominations to the alternative. If the dems nominate a reasonable candidate like Bloomberg, I would probably vote for him.

"Geez, this isn't that complicated. As long as you agree with my world views you can be as corrupt, immoral, reckless, destructive, dangerous... as you want."

That's what you're saying, right, because Dems haven't offered up a candidate who can properly play to your beliefs and con you, you'll stick with Trump who has masterfully coned you?

You are wasting your time trying to explain this.

Many still do not see that last election was a choice between Clinton, Trump, or a third party. Many will not vote third party, and voted for Trump due to HC and that she ran a bad campaign.

If the Dems send out Mayor Pete, Warren, or Sanders, Trump is likely President again. Biden is a tossup as he would likely win PA, but he has a lot of dirt on him. I think Bloomberg could win. I would have to look in to Duval(sp) the new entrant.

When one votes on judicial appointees and policies, and economy, many of those people will hold their nose and vote for Trump over many of the aforementioned.

Send out a reasonable, cleaner candidate with less drama, that is closer to center candidate and Dems have a really good shot. Hopefully the lesson was learned in 2016.

“It’s the economy, stupid.”

Apparently the President's exhortations weren't enough to convince Louisiana voters of the value of his thoughts as Dem. John Bel Edwards is projected to be reelected Governor.
More trouble for Republicans in the suburbs. Edwards won East Jefferson Parish, part of the New Orleans suburbs. That had been reliably Republican. Obama only got 26% of the vote there in 2008.

You have to be one of those people that when Obama’s jobs and unemployment numbers came out you’d claim “government’s making it up! Not true!”

Then when unemployment numbers continued on the trend and go from 4.5% to 4.3% early on with Trump; “this is amazing! Look at this Trump economy! Rocket ship!”

Turns out if you’d don’t operate with any degree of honesty, you can rationalize away anything.

Dow 28,000 cant hide from that reality. IRA's up in some cases close to 50%,and people vote with there pocket book. NASDAQ up 65% and SPY up 47%, and my 4 kids 529's up 44%. I am voting for trump with much more confidence in 2020 than in 2016. I know we will get a recession eventually but why accelerate with one of those socialist candidates?

Does Bloomberg look sane and legit in comparison to the others running, or his thoughts on large sodas? Will this be the election where there are "many" more people voting against what they don't want than what they do? What a mess! Anyone thinking that future elections will have a more intelligent voter needs to look around. Math is magical to many. Historical understandings are missing, and the ability to discern with relevant knowledge in the appropriate domain is fleeting. We have more info than anytime before and THAT is not necessarily good ...because it may not be good info...and we don't have the time to really evaluate what is it we read/saw and just how well sourced that "opinion piece" was. The alternative of less information is usually worse unless it somehow a legitimate "sorting operation? got better info and that is unlikely...and who determines what gets sorted?

If any side thinks the future is good "if only this person can win"...good for you. I don't know how you form that opinion, but it doesn't matter. Not that elections do not matter, because they do...but no matter who is elected (house/senate/presidental) or appointed for the next 20 years...I suspect that the country will be in worse shape than today. I can't say I fall into a Pollyanna view of the future for a variety of reasons. I certainly don't believe that education can solve all the problems, but a lack of tends to grow them. Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving Day...although a bit premature. ;)

Not rationalizing anything.

I don't understand how people believe that if any left wing presidential candidate gets elected their progressive agenda will suddenly become law and socialism ensues. We have a Congress, we have a system that allows the people to be heard. If the country doesn't want those policies they won't happen.......or they won't last if they are passed early in the admin. Congress would undoubtedly shift in the midterms and we would be back to stalemate.

I suppose he/she could follow the Trump example and just bypass Congress and ignore the rules and try to implement their policies anyway. But I would hope the next Congress grows a set and takes back the power given to them by the Constitution.

I’m sure the current Republican view that the President is to be some sort of god/king that is never to be questioned or investigated, will disappear within a matter of seconds once a Democratic President is elected. Not sure what they’re so scared of as there is a system of checks and balances and Democratic politicians have cared far more for rules and laws than Republicans have.

reads: "I really wanted a position in the White House and the no good bastard did not come through."
Reads any conservative who doesn't like Trump isn't basing their opinion on ideology or his performance or his character.........it's because he didn't give them a job.
Don't question the leader, everybody is lying except him.

Hold it right there !!
Don't even THINK of giving the 150,000,000 workforce Americans the great majority of the credit for the current economic numbers !!...

Sometime EVERY DAY.......between the morning " Executive Time", watching FoxNews, and the late afternoon 19th hole gathering at the course Grill Room.....

The world's economic genius is planning the continuation of this country's prosperity....
Don't EVER lose sight of that...!!!

What makes you group Pete with Warren and Sanders?

Pete is a moderate. Warren and Sanders are much more liberal.

Moderates :: Pete, Biden,
Liberal :: Warren, Sanders
Everyone else... not in contention at the moment.

You know dipshit, my wife died from a malignant brain tumor. Your brain damage bull is just that....bull because you have no ability to discuss anything in a positive or civil manner.
When you show any ability whatsoever to reasonably understand concepts and make arguments that are not completely dishonest, that’s when you’ll get some respect. Until then you’ll continue to be mocked for your complete idiocy.

Why not? Because he's gay and that makes you uncomfortable?
Nope...could care less about that part. He's simply not a moderate....

Buttigieg's major policy positions include abolition of the United States Electoral College, Which everyone knows would allow the election of a Prez by the voters of a few liberal large states...NY, California to name two.

support for a public health insurance option

labor unions,

Abortion on demand

Unions

$15 per hour wage

Restructuring of the SCOTUS to as many as 15

And....single payer health insurance.

THAT MY FRIEND....IS NOT A MODERATE IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM.

Lol the horror of the American president being elected by a majority of American voters.

I actually like Pete. Said in other threads would consider him.

I just do not think he would win
a national GE election. Grouped in that sense. I think he would win total vote count, not the college. JMO
