And because there are two teams on the floor. It's not concerning at all.. things got sloppy at the end I imagine because of such a large lead. That simple really.
We lost some focus, they relaxed. Nothing to be alarmed about.Great win but a bit concerning ….
Right?? It's like some on here expected the other team to just stop playing. And because there are two teams on the floor.
So true— we continue to see remnants of the subhuman turds who accosted Braden and his family after the FDU game. Our fan base sucks!
Particularly the ones that shut down constructive dialogue (on a message board no less) with ad hominemOur fan base sucks!
Quite hyperbolic lumping together someone that says, "concerning" with the lunaticsSo true— we continue to see remnants of the subhuman turds who accosted Braden and his family after the FDU game.
It must really suck to look at life and this program the way so many pseudo Purdue fans do!
They’ll be all back here at the first sign of adversity— guaranteed
I totally agree with getting players out of the game wiht a huge lead. It's the best way to lose a key player with the other team pissed and willing to take a cheap shot. I'm in front of the TV yelling that same thing.Great win but a bit concerning ….
Who?Particularly the ones that shut down constructive dialogue (on a message board no less) with ad hominem
Right! Would’ve been better to get Harris, Berg and maybe Burgess some more minutesI totally agree with getting players out of the game wiht a huge lead. Or even WaddelRight! Would’ve been better to get Harris, Berg and maybe Burgess some more minutes
Quite a leap there; considering the question was about resting the starters, especially after they kept giving the ball awaySo true— we continue to see remnants of the subhuman turds who accosted Braden and his family after the FDU game.

Sorry if I offended or pissed you off with my reaction. IMO if that has you worried you’re looking for something to worry about. Its not like MP has them in trying to run up the score, he just wanted guys out there’s who could put it away and not lose their shit.Great win but a bit concerning ….
Two reasons: (both coming from an IU Grad)……..Great win but a bit concerning ….
I don't know if CMP has addressed it, but the rumor and all indications point to Burgess being injured hence the reason that we've only seen Berg the last few games and no Burgess.Right! Would’ve been better to get Harris, Berg and maybe Burgess some more minutes
And Purdue played very hard. Trey could hardly speak at half. The D was a result of a lot of hustle and fatigue was a factor and when it was virtually impossible to lose Purdue got sloppy IMOIt's not concerning at all.. things got sloppy at the end I imagine because of such a large lead. That simple really.
Not that I recommend it but when just under 5 minutes if Purdue doesn’t turn it over and just hands them the ball after 30 seconds and sets the D they would roughly have 5 possessions of the remaining 2 1/2 minutes to score maybe 18 to tie it? With as big a lead as Purdue in my opinion don’t turn it over and you win and that isn’t counting going to the line. Naturally a tighter score and that may not hold.I don't think people understand how quickly a team can come back from a deficit with the 3 pointer in college basketball. That game wasn't over until the final 90 seconds.
No problem at all - I totally see your pointSorry if I offended or pissed you off with my reaction. IMO if that has you worried you’re looking for something to worry about. it looked like we stopped playing. dumb passes right to mcneese, no awareness of defenders. just seemed like they lost interest with a 20 point lead.Right?? It's like some on here expected the other team to just stop playing.
Most likely and hard to fault them for it. When I watched TKR at his halftime interview he was clearly gassed.. McNeese gave it their all and we coasted at the end and still won by a good margin.it looked like we stopped playing. dumb passes right to mcneese, no awareness of defenders. just seemed like they lost interest with a 20 point lead.
It’s more than a bit concerning that trolls like you keep coming back.Great win but a bit concerning ….
Not really. Clankhan is a troll, not a Purdue grad or fan.Quite hyperbolic lumping together someone that says, "concerning" with the lunatics
I admit that I am a troll, not a Purdue grad or fan.
Ohhh Pally are you gearing up for another L? If I recall correctly, you usually don't come out on top in these exchangesIt’s more than a bit concerning that trolls like myself keep coming back.
That's exactly why some of was were wondering why more fresh legs weren’t brought in. Maybe they’d bring some energy and play harder. Most likely and hard to fault them for it. When I watched TKR at his halftime interview he was clearly gassed.. McNeese gave it their all and we coasted at the end and still won by a good margin.
Why you changing what he saidOhhh Pally are you gearing up for another L? If I recall correctly, you usually don't come out on top in these exchanges
Thanks for admitting that you’re a troll though (although we all already knew)
Why is he calling anyone that has any sort of critique or differing opinion, a troll? Why you changing what he said
Because there wasn't a need to.That's exactly some of was were wondering why more fresh legs weren’t brought in.
The logic was: if they were gassed to the point they could only coast, it would be productive to give them a breather AND potentially give our bench some experience yeah?Because there wasn't a need to.
I don't think they were gassed. Timeouts in the NCAA tournament are a minute longer than they are in the regular season and that gives well conditioned guys ample time to catch their breath. It's wild to me that fans think they know better with this stuff than the coaches who see them every day and the trainers that are charged with keeping them in top shape. The logic was: if they were gassed to the point they could only coast, it would be productive to give them a breather AND potentially give our bench some experience yeah?
(Not trying to argue further, just addressing his troll comment when we are asking a pretty reasonable question, in a Message board designed specifically for it)
Who cares? At this point you're just coming across as just trying to find something to nitpick about. i mean we're only talking a handful of irrelevant minutes that wouldn't have benefited anyone. The logic was: if they were gassed to the point they could only coast, it would be productive to give them a breather AND potentially give our bench some experience yeah?
I don’t think any of us (or at least I) have claimed to know better than the staff, much less Painter. The players definitely looked gassed, and Braden again played all 40 minutes.I don't think they were gassed. Of course you are allowed to wonder. And we are allowed to respond with our perceptions of the situation.I don’t think any of us (or at least I) have claimed to know better than the staff, much less Painter. The players definitely looked gassed, and Braden again played all 40 minutes.
Last time we checked, we're still allowed to wonder, right? Pretty sure that’s the whole point of a message board… unless, of course, this is a dictatorship now.
definitely wasnt my intent, and your explanation makes sense - just crossed some of our minds as we were watching, that’s allWho cares? PreciselyOf course you are allowed to wonder. And we are allowed to respond with our perceptions of the situation.
Yeah, I don't get the whole troll thing unless someone has history.Preciselyand I agree or at least see their point. I was just responding to the “you questioned something therefore you’re a troll” comments
