When can players enter the portal?

I repeat, if great Osobor can get $2M…and even Coleman Hawkins can get that same amount….TKR can absolutely get that in the portal.

Loyer is nearly a 50% 3P shooter who has started every single game of his career and hit big shots.

For a team needing just a dude who can shoot and score every now and then who has a high bball iq for their last piece, he absolutely can get 1M.

AndI’m not saying this because I’m a Purdue fan. The market showed it was willing to pay guys a high price, even for those we didn’t think were worth it.
Every player is different and every team has different needs. So one player getting x doesn't mean a better player automatically gets 2x.

But it doesn't matter because none of them are going anywhere and none of them are highballing us.

They probably can declare at any time but once they declare, their current school doesn’t have to honor the scholarship anymore. So I’d assume it’s in their best interest to wait until their season is done.

We have seen a few players already declare for portal (North Dakota scorer who scored 40+ multiple times and another 6’4 DPOTY from South Dakota state who also avg 17 a game) since their seasons are over already.

After a quick search it seems the portal officially opens to sign kids mid March (March 18 last year) and runs about 2 months through mid May (May 16 last year).
Could the kid from SD be another Lance Jones? Go get him now.

I think TKR would be in very high demand, not as much as Braden, but he’d def be a top transfer if he were to hit the portal. Loyer would be able to get paid too…with his career 3P% and almost shooting it at 50% this year, he’d al so be in high demand.

I believe they all stay tho. I’d pay whatever it takes to retain smith. And then as we have said, go all out to win and spend as much as possible.
Fletch is the most replaceable of the 3.

He'd be a great player but he demands the ball, and there are plenty of teams who don't play dump it down offense, in fact, most teams don't. That's not TKRs fault and it doesn't make him not a great player but it would cap his appeal to teams for a one year addition if they have to completely revamp their play style.

And one year is all they'd get.
100%. TKR has become an old school, low post banger. Yes, he's very good at what he does, but he doesn't stretch the D, doesn't protect the rim and isn't a great rebounder. He's definitely a product of the system. He's only going to fit in certain systems but not any that want to spread the floor or run a lot of transition.

I loved those 2 big guards from USC. Both were strong, physical, great handles, could get their own shot or get into the paint and finish.
Haven't looked to see where they're from but Painter should put out some feelers.

And you know damn well he ain’t getting replaced 😂

Paint loves himself some Fletch!

Have to have the final sequel of Co-Rec Fletch - Mr. Big Shot.

I would hasten to wager Painter keeps the Underhill's tab open through 2026. :)

Also, take a look at DJ in the bottom left corner of the screenshot/image.....now there's been a lot of criticism of him (yours truly included), but he does a fantastic job there analyzing the play from the top of the key....Knowling is clearly within 5 yards and does not grab when he shoves TKR off his route.....no way that's interefrence or illegal contact. ;)

He’s at least a $2 million player. Maybe more when all schools are allowed to pay players directly.

Can post up and play PNR. 20/6, at 61% FG, and a good passer.
