..... they tend to get hurt more often than with any other player I've ever seen. I hope that Harris is okay.

I'm not being an a$$, I just have noticed how many players have gotten injured after colliding with Haas in the two and a half seasons he's played college hoops. I'm not saying that it's cool or anything, just that he's someone you don't want to run into on the court. You guys are quick to judge. Read the entire post before responding.

It's a right knee injury for Harris. That's too bad for them, but it's good that he doesn't have any kind of neck or back injury, like was feared at first.

I thought the same thing, but also noticed that it's never intentional. Haas was just going for a block. Nobody was wishing anyone harm. I think we want MSU to make it to the NCAA tournament and at least have a good showing for the Big10, and without Harris they would not be the same team.

it was scary seeing him on the floor not moving. i was afraid it was a head injury or something just as serious. severly sprained knee i think i heard. hope the young man recovers and plays again. we all know what it is like to lose a player to injury and i never like seeing anyone go down.

It looked like he jumped at haas trying to get a foul. Dumb move and he paid for it. Bad play on his part
Eron always seems to twist his body in going to the rim where his athleticism usually works for him. He jumped into Haas and Haas didn't fall back like some others and came down on a bad angle with his foot turning sideways and his knee buckling...not a pretty site...reminded me of Robbie and Minny except Robbie was not in traffic. Hope it heals fine... :(

Who is on this long list of injured players in the last 2 1/2 seasons? Please don't say D'Ron Davis.

Well, while I want no one to get hurt, I for one DO NOT want MSU to make it to the Dance... While I think they undoubtedly will, I would love to hear the sputtering from Izzo and gang if they did not!!

De'Ron Davis collided with Haas before injuring himself, so yes, he is one of them. Frank Kaminsky, Branden Dawson, and Anas Mahmoud are three others that immediately come to mind.

I think they're squarely on the bubble right now. IMO, the only way they'll get off the bubble at this point is if they win the B1G Tournament. No matter what their RPI or SOS is, being 16-11 overall (8-6 in conference play) right now is not a particularly impressive record for an NCAA tourney hopeful.

D'Ron Davis was reported to have a mutilated face caused by a collision with Haas. Video replay showed no collision with his face. There were no signs of a collision on his face after the so-called "collision". No cut, scratch, scrape, or swelling. A couple of days later he led the Hoosiers in scoring. His coach teaches his players to act like they have been hurt. Getting the picture?

Keep trying.

I'm pretty sure their bodies made contact with one another. I think that can be defined as a collision of sorts. Why are you so invested in trying to disprove things that factually happened in games?

LOL! Typical Nag backing out of his argument. So every collision in basketball results in injury?

You claim that D'Ron Davis was injured by a collision with Haas. What injury did he sustain from the big meanie? I can hardly wait for this.

He got hurt after making contact with Haas. Regardless of whether or not his injury was directly caused by Haas, he still made contact with him and subsequently fell and got injured. The other three I mentioned had concussion-like symptoms and missed games after getting inadvertent elbows from Haas. I'm done explaining this to you. If you can't comprehend my statements and my explanations of my statements, that is on you.

Weak way out. You said he was injured by Haas. You just repeated he was injured. What was his injury? If you make the charge, back it up. That's all I'm asking.

I thought when the trainer began whispering to him, a possible severe break in the upper leg under the shorts that nobody could see. He appeared to be in a semi state of shock after the initial adrenaline wore off and I figured that was what happened but noticed they didn't immobilize the leg so wasn't sure.

By all news, Harris is a good kid who has struggled mightily this season...hopefully it's not as bad as it might be...those weird and awkward landings can sometimes be the worst...like Hummel.

i see what you're saying.
Haas is such a big guy, it just happens when others collide with him. I was thinking a Minny player from last year maybe too?
(I thought that too re: Harris today/bad fracture and the way the trainer and teammates reacted)

even swanigan seemed to overpower MSU big men
it's great to have the big enforcers on our team now unlike years past

It seems like you're being difficult. Davis was on the floor for a couple minutes, immediately went to the locker room, and didn't return to action. If that's not injured, I don't know what is. Why do you need to know the specific injury before you acknowledge the point?

So if I run into a wall and get hurt, it's the wall's fault? Got it.

I actually thought Davis got cracked in the head a few plays earlier while defending Biggie as he was backing him down in the post.

I think Nag is accurate in what he is saying. This was covered in an earlier thread, that perhaps you missed. Watching the contact real-time, it was difficult to tell what hit what. However, they treating Davis like he had a concussion. I don't understand the argumentative nature of your response.

In the OP, I was just making a neutral observation. I was not saying it's Haas' "fault" or that I was taunting Harris or anything like that.
Sorry then, I didn't pick that up on my first reading.

Because the IUStar said that his face was battered. I watched the play several times in super-slow-mo and his face did not get "battered". In the Star's photo of him getting off the floor, there wasn't a mark on him. He came back the next game, with no signs of being "battered", and he led the team in scoring.

Finally, Crean teaches his players to fake injuries to get opposing players ejected. They do not get the benefit of the doubt when they go down.

See my previous reply. We have all seen Crean's players acting to get an opposing player ejected. I reject the notion that he was "battered" by Haas for the reasons I stated.

I believe that Cody Zellar was really in pain, but I'll never agree that it was because he collided with Draymond Green. It puts a question on Green's role.
