You walked away from the game saying ok, they lost, but that's a tournament team.

You walk away from the game tonight saying they look like an NIT team - at best.

That's Purdue's biggest problem. It's fine to lose on the road to MSU - but to anyone who watched it, you wouldn't be one bit impressed with Purdue.

Must-win on Saturday.

You obviously not a purdue fan ibodel....

We are a tournament team...

You must have only watched the last two games

I would say if you think MSU is a lock like most talking heads then you would say Purdue played N avg game on the road. It doesn't hurt us, it woyld have locked us in.

AJ Hammons was impressive tonight eh? He wasn't in the game from tip-off.

When Purdue lost to OSU, I thought "boy, they choked that one away." When they lost to MSU, I thought "This was a real screw job."

hard to win on senior night.....

I thought this team showed some heart. We did t get blown out. Win a t Illinois and we should be ok. I'd like to see what the tie breakers are for the 4 double byes. Anyone know?

Where's that darn bracket-generator?

I think now the best Purdue can do is the four unless Michigan State and Ohio State both lose (possible but I wouldn't expect it) and the tie is with Iowa. Don't quote me on that.

Re: hard to win on senior night.....

Looks like in a 4-way tie:

MSU (#3)
Iowa (#4)
Purdue (#5)
OSU (#6)

Three-way tie (with Iowa and MSU), Purdue gets the 4, MSU the 3

Three-way tie (with Iowa and OSU), Purdue gets the 4, Iowa the 3

Three-way tie (with OSU and MSU if Iowa loses at home to NW), Purdue gest the 5, MSU the 3

Purdue loses to Illinois, and they are likely the 6.

Purdue could really get some help from Indiana and Wisconsin at least for BTT seeding.

That's just it, Hammons had an off night, we missed numerous 1 and 1 opportunities at the free throw line, and we still only lose by 6. It's just unfortunate that finally Stephens has a good game after the finger injury and our inside threat, Hammons, has the worse game of conference play this year. The flagrant foul was horrible. If that was the NBA, Costello gets a 10k fine for flopping, but in the NCAA it's a flagrant.

Didn't expect a win on this night either way though, although was optimistic about one of these last 2 road games. Now it comes down to us either winning against Illinois, or if we lose, we need to win probably 2 games in the BTT.
