He had a pretty good year for a frosh. Obviously made some freshman mistakes. Is the vibe he goes pro or does he comeback?

nobody's saying it but I think he's gone...I don't know what his position is in the NBA, but another year in college, this time without Hammons, is not going to help his stock...

He will be back and it will help him immensely. Haas being here allows him to continue at the 4 and perfect his game.

In case you don't follow the NBA, and it sounds like you don't, players get drafted by their potential, and Swanigan has the potential of being a good pro. He just needs some better coaching.
He isn't athletic enough at this point. That is huge in the potential evaluation..

Show me what draft board has him going to the NBA.

Thanks and good night. Maybe next year you'll follow the NBA.

He does?

His offensive upside is ok, but he can't guard a position in the NBA. He'd be better off working on his game and body for another year.

ya, but how is he going to get more athletic? I think it's all downhill from here for him, so he might as well take his shot now, even if a fringe first rounder

He wouldn't get drafted. He needs to develop a killer mid range and become a great passer.

D-league at best. Which would probably be good for him, if I'm honest, compared to the prospect of staying at Purdue with a terrible game coach who is mediocre at best at developing players.

If he goes pro he might as well throw his whole career away. I remember people in here saying Hammons was going pro after his first year. No way no how. Hammons goes pro last year he is playing in Europe this season never to see an NBA floor again. Hammons now will get a big contract and be a big player in the NBA because he made a name for himself. Swan hasn't done that yet. What he has a good year rebounding and suddenly he is an NBA superstar. He had 6 points today against a team he should have run over without mercy. He tried to shoot a 3 point shot against MSU last week that looked less accurate than if I tried to make a half court shot behind my back with my feet. No way he goes. He has a lot of work to do before he makes a name for himself. He didn't earn NBA praise. I say let's talk about learning to get the ball to Hammons inside when the other team is in foul trouble with the wrong people in the middle of the floor and draw the foul against MSU last week instead of taking a 3 point shot he had no business taking at that moment in the game. Lets talk about beating Little Rock Arkansas JV community college first before we talk about getting anyone to the NBA.

He needs to continue to work on his game, his decision making , passing ability and most of defense needs to continually improve. He'll be in Cary quad again next year don't worry

After sitting the last 25 minutes tonight the question should be who talks him out of transferring. Seriously, it's all good to have him out of position running around chasing Zac Irvin, but he rides the pine against ALR? I'm your highest rated recruit in the history of your tenure, solid contributor all season, and I sit while Raphael Davis and Johnny Hill are on the court in crunch time?

I think it's a fair question to ask and don't be shocked if those rumbles come out of WL.

He said he came here to win a national championship, I don't expect him to leave until he does.

It was stupid he was a huge factor in building that lead. Mathias and Cline were struggling so why take out Caleb??
