On the road! Wow, we're shooting 61% from the field and only 6 turnovers. Miss Clemons with 15 pts. Funny Miss Bays sat the last 8-9 minutes due to fouls. We have a lot of foul trouble so the 2nd will be interesting. Go Boilers!

Miss Bays hits the winner. Hell they were 16-2 coming into this game. We virtually only played 8 players.yes!

Miss Bays' double-double streak ended but still had 25 pts. Miss Clemons and Miss Wilson had double-doubles (Wilson 12 assists) Great to beat a ranked team at their place. We shot 51%. We are a strange team. Great needed win, amazing.

Given what we have seen for the last month, there is no explanation for this win. Now time to see if they can sustain this level of play. This does not eliminate the many things said on this board recently about the poor play of this team. But if they can play like they did tonight they can erase a lot of bad memories fast. With OSU and Rutgers coming in, there are no gimmes, but it seems now we have a chance. Absolutely did not expect them to beat Minn and they did blow a 15 point lead, but they gutted it out. Noticeable was Versyp going with her starters much more than at any time this year. Just about has to as the bench just cannot produce. Hamby, Horrocks, and Hall (who hardly plays) just have not helped much and Thornton is erratic. But they must play some and at least hold the fort which they did tonite. The key though was great ball handling from our guards and big points for Wilson and Morrissette. We will just have to see if this energizes the team from now on.

Just watched a replay of the game. By far the best game that I've seen them play this year. What a difference everything is though when the shots are going down. More energy on defense, etc. as well as outstanding ball movement. The vast majority of the shots were assisted.

Minnesota is a very good team with the best center in the league and Kelley is probably the most athletic player along with Purdue's Whitney Bays. Excellent game, but one of the worst officiated games that I've seen in a long time.

Read someplace that Whitney Bays was "..being sick on the sidelines" in the first half. I assume that means upchucking. If so, what she did in the second half is absolutely fantastic. !!

I was at the game last night, fantastic win! Most exciting basketball game, no matter who is playing, I've watched in a long time.

The bench was short! Talk about walking wounded, so yes there was a heavy reliance on the starters, let alone the fact that every Boiler seemed to have to have a minimum of 3 fouls by the half.

The officials were not good. They were calling ghost fouls, make up calls, and then for long stretches letting extreme amounts of contact occur. It seemed difficult for both teams to adapt and neither bench was pleased. I personally was glad to see coach yell at them.

We sat behind the bench and during every time out and substitution they were ready with a trash can for Bays in the first half. She didn't look good. But I will say she has ice in her veins as she seemingly couldn't miss in the second half.

Hopefully this is the start of a great winning streak!

They were griping about the officials on the Gophers board, too. One poster mentioned Enterline by name, so that explains part of it, as he is probably one of the very worst. (edited to add this: I just went back and checked that post again--she does say Enterline, but she calls him "Bob" and I thought his name is "Brian." Please tell me there are not TWO!) I cringe when I see him at one of our games. Kudos to Bays for playing with a stomach virus. Wow. I couldn't do that! I probably couldn't have done it when I was her age, either! And very glad to see Morrissette's shot coming back, too! All in all, a great win!

Our coach got a T and that doesn't ever happen so the zebras must have been worse than ever. Though we only won by two, the poor ref performance may have ended up benefiting us at the end. Heck Zahula (or whatever her name is) never missed a shot all night. They are a really good team with lots of options for scoring but we were able to keep our players in the game and they lost two starters. You win some and lose some because of the bad refs. Too bad it is an obvious factor too often in the women's game.

Luv, aren't you only 5 or 6 years older than her?

More like seven years older. Er, make that maybe 10, or...oh, please, let's not even go there! LOL! That T on SV probably fired the team up, so wasn't a bad thing.

Trying to choose my words carefully - Enterline is far from the top of my "good" officials list. He called a lot of WNBA games when I had Fever season tickets. Seemed like he'd put a foul or 2 on Catchings before the tip off. I try to respect officials, as I certainly wouldn't want their job, but wow do some of them make the choice challenging to achieve.

Very glad we won, wish BTN had carried it. Following on Twitter just isn't the same.

Been there, done that. I do it texting to my daughters all the time I either send it before I'm done or forget to send the dang thing altogether after something drops in my lap at work.
