Yep. Not to mention that the panic level seemed pretty high after the Auburn game. We are so fortunate to have a coach who doesn’t panic and sticks with the process.
Well said. I admit I didn’t have much confidence in the Boilers winning many conference road games after the Auburn and A&M games. I am very pleased to admit I was “wrrroooooonnn”. Beat the Wolves again!

Played a bad game vs a really really good team. I’d bet the house they end up in the title game.
Didn’t freak out. Didn’t freak out after the TAMU game. Those neutral court games mean little in the big picture , especially when not playing your best and so early into the year with a younger team.
What matters is how you learn from those losses and round into form. It’s not a coincidence that teams that didn’t play a tough schedule early in the year have no clue what to do in Jan/Feb when they get punched in the mouth and face adversity.
I don’t think this is a national title team. It’s likely not even a final 4 team. That said, we have a shot and if the matchups align it could happen again for sure.
All of that in a year most had said was not going to be as good as 24 or 26 upcoming.

No. Culture fits. Good players. Guys who are vested in a 4 year career. Plus a better than average Xs And Os. Hard to not be a top 10 team by default if you can manage those variables. Not easy but it’s easy for a guy like Paint.
I’ll quote myself..but a guy like TKR is not a given but when you have a model and a culture…you can keep an uber basketball talented guy like this who otherwise might seek greener pastures but he’s learned to love the love and applause and recognition for a hard days work. No way a player like TKR is going to have support from fans more than he does here.

I think also, it’s the personality test paint has the recruits take and makes sure they’re a fit for Purdue. Paint goes and gets HIS guys. Not some rankings (as we all know). The guys he recruits are the hard workers and are loyal to him cuz he’s loyal and honest to them. Hopefully it keeps working for him.
