Tucker Carlson gone from Faux News and Don Lemon gone from CNN

Y'all don't like for me to bring up race. I don't care. Chauvin killed Floyd because he is a racist cowardly punk. Plain and simple. Floyd's life did not matter to him at all. If it did, Chauvin would have rendered aid soon after Floyd went into distress and passed out. Chauvin still had the knee on Floyd's neck even after the EMTs rolled up. The other 3 punk cops just stood around and didn't do crap. That is why they are going to prison also. These 4 ne'er do wells had Floyd in the car and then took him back out and murdered him. Once they got Floyd in the car that is when they should have taken him to the police station.
Did you watch the video of them trying to get Floyd in the car?

If they wanted to murder him, why didn't they just shoot him?

Just another example of a multiple time felon not following the rules and losing his life. Seen that movie before.

How many felonies does a person get to commit before they're put away for good?

So, in Freddie Gray's case, whatever crime Freddie Gray committed you are ok with the cops purposely driving erratically that a handcuffed er thrown all over the place in the back of the police transporter?

So in the Nichols case in Memphis, TN, whatever the case Nichols committed, you are ok cops stopping him in the first place with no reason and then beating the crap out of him until he died? One of these cops kicked Nichols so hard that this fool is walking around limping and out of breath. The EMTs in this case got to the scene and absolutely did nothing. Nchols' life did not matter to these fools either.
I don't have an ounce of sympathy for Freddy Grey. Not one. They guy had a rap sheet 20 pages long. The cops did society a favor.
Would you be just as upset about Grey if he were killed by a rival gang banging drug dealer or is that just the risk of doing business?

As for those cops in the Nichols case: They're all black right? So, what that racially motivated? I didn't read enough about that case but from what I did read, they certainly were out of bounds.

You did not answer my question. Is it ok for cops to purposely drive erratically until a handcuffed detainee gets thrown around until his neck breaks?

In Nichol's case. Yes, most of the cops were black. It happens with white cops more than black cops but black cops ain't exempt in police brutality either. Nichol's life did not matter to those black cops either. 2 or 3 out of the 6 involved in the aforementioned Freedy Grey case were black.

Yeah I watched the video. They had Floyd in the car. Took him out and then murdered him for no reason. The number one rule in cops using deadly force is that if their own life is in danger. Whether it's 4 cops involved with Floyd. 6 cops involved in Freddie Grey. Or 6, 7, 8 who knows how many cops involved in the Nichols case. The bottom line is that neither one of their lives was in danger to murder any of those detainees.

According to your logic, Ashii Babbit deserved what she got on Jan 6, correct? Wasn't she breaking the law when she was killed? Most of the right wingers on this forum thought otherwise. I wonder why.

Yes, it's OK for cops to tune up a person with a 20 page rap sheet. Whether that's with a night stick, stun gun or rough ride. The person obviously isn't interested in playing by the rules, why should the cops? Treat the guy like the punk criminal he is.
This dude was another gang banging drug dealer. What purpose was he serving in society.

Is society better off without him? Absolutely.

As for Nichols, I know it's not a statistic that you like or believe, but a lot more white people are killed by cops than blacks. Does that mean cops are racist against white people also?

Didn’t answer about Ashli Babbitt that was in the process of committing a crime when she was shot on Jan 6.

What about 14 year old Tamir Rice? Did he deserved to be killed. He had no rap sheet. Wasn’t on fentanyl or meth.

I agree with all this, but Chauvin didn't use force because Floyd had a record. Chauvin had to use force because Floyd was a huge, non-compliant threat who was resisting arrest and fighting the cops. He was also high on PCP, coke and meth which made him even more difficult to control or predict.
Two things:

1) I'm not sure that Chauvin knew that Floyd had narcotics in his system when he arrested him - thinking he did not have any reason to believe that, even if it proved to be true.

2) More importantly: The illegal use of force that led to the 2nd degree murder conviction was the continued use of potentially deadly force against a compliant, and then against a lifeless individual. If memory serves, for about five minutes.

An officer is allowed to control an arrestee. Put handcuffs on him! But five minutes of knee on neck, the majority of which occurred on a still body, is illegal, inhumane, and extraordinarily unconscionable. You may agree with me on that; but if you cannot? Then I am done with this so far respectful interaction.

This is an incredibly offensive statement. Every professional law enforcement officer with decency and integrity would find this completely odious.

I'll say it again, what role does Floyd play in his own demise? He was a 5 time felon. How many chances does a person get? When you decide you don't want to play by societies rules, then you have to accept that bad things are probably going to happen to you.

It's super simple. Break the law (repeatedly) and you're increasing the liklihood of some sort of negative outcome.

Offensive to whom? Non-criminals? How offended are you that Freddy Grey had a 20 page rap sheet?
Think of all the lives he negatively impacted because he decided to be a drug dealing gang banger.
Do you really give 2 craps that the guy died in a police van? Why? I don't. The guy was a life long criminal and wasn't going decide to change his ways.
Do you not agree that society is better off without him?

It is completely offensive when officers who have sworn to uphold the law deliberately break it through the commission of violent acts while on duty as law enforcement officers.

There are a lot of people that break the law and that society arguably is far better off either without, or at least with them incarcerated.

Law enforcement must never stoop to that level.

I have a few good buddies who are cops. They've told me stories of when they repeatedly have to arrest the same people over and over again. These people just have no intention or simply refuse not to commit crimes. They serve zero purpose in society. I don't care that they are someone's son, brother or father. They should take that into consideration before they become a habitual criminal. Therefore, when that person is eliminated from society, whether by a cop or one of their victims, then I celebrate that.

Not sure why you lefty libs take the side of the criminals so often.

That’s a really interesting post. A few thoughts.

First, your issue is with sentencing. On many levels, I agree with you that recidivist criminals should receive much harsher sentences, especially for crimes of violence.

Second, I also know many law enforcement officers; probably many more than you. Officers that are successful leaders and role models believe in the rule of law, even when it’s challenging. Without exception. They would be extraordinarily offended if officers under their command thought that if it was OK to issue vigilante justice.

I’m wondering if any of the police officers you know ascribe to your theory that it’s acceptable or would be a good idea to give out vigilante justice if they knew they wouldn’t be caught?

If you know of officers who think that way, I’d like to know which departments they’re from, and even their names! Would love to have a public declaration of law-enforcement officers who are supposed to protect the rule of law, yet think this way!

Finally, please quote any of my many posts on these topics from any time, which gave you the impression that I’m a “lefty lib.”

I’ll wait.

I also don’t understand why the media shows so much sympathy for criminals. People get all worked up and protest when criminals are hurt or killed. When good people have been injured or killed no one seems to care. It’s certainly not a story or concern for the media.

I'm still waiting on you to concede you were wrong about treason in the other thread, after you revived the thread in a bni-like rush to post without thinking.

Are you in still in @BNIBoiler mode now, hiding under your desk?

That’s because the cops who are suppose to uphold the are the criminals when they kill unarmed folks. Look at those cops in Memphis that killed Nichols. Are you are trying to tell me those are good cops? Chauvin was known in Minneapolis for at least 19 complaints for brutality. Then they make a training officer. Garner in NYC. Does it actually take at least 6 cops to choke a man to death for selling loose cigarettes? Freddy Gray. You condone 6 cops purposely driving a police transport erratic so that a handcuffed man on the back can be thrown around until his neck breaks. Y’all are the ones that feel sympathy for the cops that kill these folks for reason. I’m the aforementioned events, not one of these the cops lives were in danger.

Because people have a higher expectation of standards of behavior for law enforcement, who are and should be role models, than for scumbag criminals. It’s shocking and newsworthy when role models act that way.

My issue isn’t with sentencing, although I’d be highly in favor of a 3 strikes rule that’s puts people away for a mandatory 50 years on the third strike.
My issue is with people. Specifically people who decide to be criminals.
Being a criminal is a learned behavior. It can also be unlearned, but it’s a conscious choice.
Why are you sympathetic To criminals?

What about citizens not being repeated felons? Why can they just be law abiding productive members of society?

Why are you sympathetic to criminals? Cops that commit crimes and kill people. Cops that suppress evidence. Cops that plant evidence. Cops that b eat the crap out people for confessions of crimes that they did not commit? On and on. Most against black people.

So now I have two things I’d like you to find!
Quote anything I’ve said that is evidence I’m:

1) A “lefty lib.”
2) Sympathetic to criminals.

How sad that the next time you need a cop that it will probably be a black cop. Then who will your racist ass blame?
First of all, I’ve said nothing derogatory against any racial group or ethnicity. Nor did I discriminate against anyone. So, how am I a racist?

I don’t understand what you are talking about. “the next time you need a cop that it will probably be a black cop”.

And you wonder why I call you a bleeding heart lefty lib.......

To your first paragraph, you're 100% correct. I have no sympathy for criminals, especially repeat offenders. When you sign up to be a law breaker, you're also signing up to accept whatever consequences come with that lifestyle. Sometimes breaking the law can have a bad outcome for the perp, like death. Too bad...You made that your choice.
Do you feel sorry for the guy who pulls a gun on the liquor store clerk but ends up getting shot dead by the other clerk he didn't see hiding? You probably do.

How many chances should a felon get? How many felonies does a person get to commit before they should no longer be a threat to society?

You see, that's one of the differences between conservatives and libs. Conservatives want people to take personal responsibility and be held accountable. Libs think every criminal is a victim of circumstance and shouldn't be held accountable.
If it makes you feel better to call me a lefty lib because I believe in due process, innocent until proven guilty, and that SUSPECTS shouldn’t be beaten, have at it.

I’m not making any comment about how you should FEEL about criminals…….that you should have any sympathy for them. Good God, that might be considered weakness in your MAGA world. Can’t violate Trump rule #1.

I’m talking about your view that appears to be once a criminal, always a criminal. Rehabilitation is impossible. Throw away the key. And that somehow violations of the law committed against SUSPECTS, not convicted criminals, is ok.

Of course you’re talking about black kids in Chicago and not white collar crime right? What constitutes a “law breaker” in your world? Does it have to violent? Who gets to decide which criminals are worth saving? You?

Then comes your intellectually dishonest lies. Who has said criminals shouldn’t be held accountable? Judgements are made by prosecutors and both of us can take issue with how some do their jobs. But if anybody is saying criminals shouldn’t be punished, I haven’t seen them and they would be extremists if there were.

Btw, does your greatest president ever believe in taking personal responsibility? Why don’t you criticize him? No, that would be breaking rule #2. Loyalty above all else.

what % of cops do you think are either racists or criminals?

Just because you are a repeat felon doesn’t mean that you should get killed by the police when you are unarmed. Police have killed unarmed folks who are not repeat felons.
I think if you're a repeated felon, you're pretty much taking your life into your own hands in committing felonies anyway.
So, if you get killed by the cops instead of a fellow gangbanger, who cares? Society is better off either way.

This is classic Bob for ya. 5 pages of discussion without a mention of Trump until Bob jumps in and immediately it's "TRUMP!"
I love it!
And yes, I'll call you a lefty lib because you are one. That's OK, just own it.
And no, I don't have sympathy for criminals. I don't care what someone's up bringing is. They know the difference between right and wrong, they just don't care.
And yes, I'm talking about violent criminals, not the accountant who screwed his client (but they deserve punishment as well) And no, color doesn't matter. I believe a white child molested should get the death penalty just as much as the black guy who kills a cop.
But back to what you really want to complain about...."TRUMP!"

To extremists like you, anybody who isn’t full blown MAGA is a liberal. I’m a gun owner who believes in the 2nd, a strong military, a balanced budget amendment and eliminating the national debt. If that is a liberal, wtf are you?

Only takes a few sentences in a long post and you get freaked out about trump. Why is that? Why is it that MAGA boobs like you don’t want to talk about trump? He’s got a big lead in the polls, just ask him. He’s overwhelmingly the favorite to be your nominee. Why do you people lose your minds and accuse others of talking about him so much? Do you think we’ll talk about him less if you whine about it? A little reverse psychology? Is it so distasteful to have to defend him for another 4 years? You’ve proven you’re able to pick your spots and just pretend to ignore all the embarrassing, psychotic sh/t. What’s the problem?
