Toledo at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Most on this board and now Bruce Webber.....former Purdue asst coach....saying the same thing. We have to have more from others besides the big 3. Fletch and Smith playing well but they can't carry us against better competition. Colvin and Heide with 0 points between them. Cox has 2. No way do we compete in the BIG if we can't others to contribute. Not sure if it is the players or Painter.

It's little tough when they are not the focal point and don't really create for themselves. Heide had a couple of good looks but missed, and they did try a couple of lobs - which were a little more high risk than average. They also ran a curl at the top to get Colvin a look - they just have to find ways to be more productive.....maybe transition would help.

I agree that it's a little concerning IF they can't be productive scorers.

Not to pile on Heide and Colvin (0/6), but they were playing better when they had to work for playing time.
They have to take a step forward. If they have the ability to shoot a jumper in the lane, Purdue needs it and needs to get some action for them… “IF”…

This was a perfect game to find a way to get others other than the main 3 scoring the basketball and more involved. More driving and attacking the rim.

Nope. Painter has decided doing exactly the same shit as before is the objective.

We may not make the NCAA tourney

This game is a huge reason why that it’s imperative that Coach Painter hits the portal, he needs another impact player next season, if he can get one it can me a great season. Even than though, Heide and Colvin have to score a little.

Clearly not. We start screwing around and we lose this game. We simply aren't good enough to take a practice game against anyone so we can get others involved.

They need to get themselves involved.
