Toledo at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

I could be wrong about this... and I know Harris's 3 pt shot is well documented... but hasnt our bad play started or really increased since harris was kicked out of the starting lineup and rotation?

He atleast drives the ball at times amd gets to the rim and he is probably the best perimeter defender. May need to get him more involved and live with the bad shot for now

I mean good point, thats a problem in and of itself
It's reality. We lost our top big man to the NBA and then we lost our replacement for him to injury.

This was always going to be a tough season once that happened.

If Painter gets a portal guy or two next year we will be just fine.

Whose spots are those guys taking? Only furst is a senior

I’m sure the blueprint is B1G wide now. Baseline defense is really exposed now
Especially in the last two games

83-64, Boilers. Better 2nd half but still plenty of things to work on.

Golden Gophers in the Barn coming up right after the new year.

Smitty with 34/4/12 and 3 steals......career high in points today.....well done, young man.

Combined stat line for Colvin and Heidi…0 pts, 1 rebound, 1 assist. Not as good as we thought…
I made the comment, maybe here, maybe elsewhere, that against Auburn, Colvin and Heide had a combined 5 (P+R+A). Thought that was bad enough. As you say, tonight was only 2. I do believe it's 75% on them but also 25% on the system. There's just too much Smith/TKR on most possessions. But they need to be able to crash the boards, since that is sorely lacking on the defensive end.
