- went through a stretch of elite play and looked like a 1 seed type team, but it leveled off
- come up short in the big ten race
- lose in the big ten tourney championship to a team we had beaten twice
Obviously the teams peaked at different times and this team got some hardware in the pre-season, but there are a lot of parallels.
One more: lots of folks here thought both teams were gonna be out on the first weekend of the tourney. I’m thinking this team will find a way to get to the sweet 16 as well. Admittedly I hate our match up against UK, but anything can happen at that point.
