...and we're proud and excited about that but they need guys like Haas, CE, Cline, and Thompson to step up for Purdue to be at their best in the conference and NCAA Tournament.

On the offensive side of things, I don't think Haas has had a real good game since the home win over Rutgers (but it's Rutgers, not a top team), CE's had a couple of games to forget and Cline and Thompson's shooting and scoring has tailed off overall in the past month or so. The latter two have made big shots in some moments during that stretch, but overall they don't seem as efficient and productive as they were in the first half of the conference schedule.

Today's (well yesterday now) game was an example of that. There were four players that I thought played well (VE, Swanigan, Mathias, and Albrecht) and four that weren't too good (Haas, CE, Cline, Thompson):

Hopefully they can get out of their slumps because this team needs all 8 of them playing well in order to win in the NCAA's.

Agree that none of the four listed as struggling have been at peak scoring efficiency if late. The only one concerning me though is Haas. He has been foul and turnover prone essentially taking himself out of the game. It may be diminishing his decisiveness and aggressiness. The others are still contributing in significant ways but yes having everyone at their best would sure be nice.

I just don't know why Haas has been unable to hold onto the ball in recent games when he receives a post entry. It's baffling.

I don't know either. I wonder if he's rattled by the double teams, thinking about them instead of the basics like catching the ball. It sounds silly but you really do have to see the ball all the way into your hands to have good hands.

Yes....could be the result of too many things he's thinking about.....when he's relaxed and focused.....he does wonderfully. Easier said than done.

As an aside, Biggie Swanigan has improved with better anticipating and punishing the double teams, IMO.
