Getting that right nowHopefully Burgess gets some extra run tonight so Paint can decide what he wants to do.

What is tonight?Hopefully Burgess gets some extra run tonight so Paint can decide what he wants to do.
This.Btw......Most of us only laugh and don't reply.
This.
I blocked bigelow months ago and the responses alone tell me I made a superb decision!
I think we need to merge all 3 together. We grow 7 footers in a lab right? So why can’t we just merge em together??? It is Halloween (anlmost), after all!DJ hasn’t been setting effective picks, getting pushed around. Burgess is definitely capable of playing more physical. Burgess picks are better but Berg sets best picks by far. I know this is not likely to happen and might not be a common opinion but of the two DJ would benefit more from a red shirt this year
The way Painter played him after his first stint. He gave more run to Furst and Berg with the starters. Why’s that
You could be right but could be more so he wanted those guys to just get more PT cuz they won’t be seeing much soon. Who knows tbhThe way Painter played him after his first stint. He gave more run to Furst and Berg with the starters.
Yeah, I hope I’m wrong. I really think he can help us this year. You could be right but could be more so he wanted those guys to just get more PT cuz they won’t be seeing much soon. Who knows tbh

You may be right. He just looks a tad slow, but if he complements Braden the best, then he will play. I have not even the slightest clue as to what painter is going to do 😂I must be the only one who thinks Berg is going to see a decent amount of playing time? Sets the best screens for teammates and can hold position well around the basket. Has decent hands. Needs more playing time to gain more comfort and confidence. Just my opinion.
It's going to be RB's decision. I had a couple of takeaways from the exhibition as it relates to RB.You could be right but could be more so he wanted those guys to just get more PT cuz they won’t be seeing much soon. Who knows tbh
Nope. He holds the experience and strength advantage to this point. Matt's already said he's the best rebounder on the team. We've seen him score in close, and we still haven't seen the jumper/set shot.I must be the only one who thinks Berg is going to see a decent amount of playing time? So you’re saying we are gonna redshirt furst? It's going to be RB's decision. I had a couple of takeaways from the exhibition as it relates to RB.
- Painter was clearly trying to allow him to 'separate' from the other 5's with the early playing time, which tells me that this is a real open question
- Painter indicated in his post-game comments that there was still little separation between the 5's and IMO, focused on the development of DB for this season
- We know that MP will allow the player to make the redshirt decision. My guess is that he'll encourage RB to take the redshirt, but it will ultimately be up to Raleigh.
Book it, guaranteed. So you’re saying we are gonna redshirt furst?
I have him blocked and still get the laughs as someone seems to reply to all of his postsI try not to block anyone unless they use foul language or crude name calling.
You are missing a laugh or two though.
Ditto. Snapping that rubberband as often as I can.I have him blocked and still get the laughs as someone seems to reply to all of his posts
Who responds to his posts??I have him blocked and still get the laughs as someone seems to reply to all of his posts
Who replies to who's posts?Who responds to his posts??
Paint also said after the GVSU exhibition he is looking for someone who functions well in the offense and rebounds and thinks berg is pulling away from the others.Nope. He holds the experience and strength advantage to this point. Matt's already said he's the best rebounder on the team. We've seen him score in close, and we still haven't seen the jumper/set shot.
Did you infer from that interview that he thought that Berg was pulling away? I don’t recall him explicitly stating that and I didn’t get that impression from what MP said. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that I interpreted it differently.Paint also said after the GVSU exhibition he is looking for someone who functions well in the offense and rebounds and thinks berg is pulling away from the others.
I did. I could be wrong too but he’s pretty direct and all but says it. And he’s not saying it can only be Berg. He said Jacobsen and Burgess struggled and have a lot of work to do. And then praised Berg and for rebounding and said that is the person who will end up separating themselves. To me that was a clear message Berg has separated himself as the starter. But he certainly sees the potential even comparing Jacobsen to All American JJJ in his development.Did you infer from that interview that he thought that Berg was pulling away? Who responds to his posts??
I have zero f**ks to invest in researching this answer.Who responds to his posts??
Haha I was making fun of myselfI have zero f**ks to invest in researching this answer.
I said “in his development” as he said the way he’s playing with not getting his hands on the ball, tipping in, and playing small reminds him of JJJ.He compared Jacobson to JJ in terms of being very skinny and needing to get stronger.
I've been on the Berg bandwagon since before he got here. I loved his recruiting tape, mostly because it show him to have a solid stroke and could handle the ball for a 7 footer.I must be the only one who thinks Berg is going to see a decent amount of playing time? Sets the best screens for teammates and can hold position well around the basket. Has decent hands. Needs more playing time to gain more comfort and confidence. Just my opinion.

For him, I think it's just a matter of playing time and having the game slow down for him. And, Painter give him the rope to make mistakes.
Agree. I don't expect him to RS, but not my decision.I hope he doesn't RS. I think we are going to need all the help we can get at the 5 this season. I understand the reason to do it if he isn't going to get much PT, but with the other candidates I just don't see how that is possible. DJ is just too skinny and weak right now and Berg is untested and pretty slow footed. Doesn't mean I don't like the future of either one, but for this season, I think a 3rd #5 would be very beneficial.
Even in THIS program? I think you've been reading too much of a certain someone's posts.I just don't believe in red shirts anymore. With NIL there's low chance of program loyalty. Just play them and he gets whatever minutes he gets.
