Great win last night, but no real time to break as we face a team friday with sauce! I think he's only averaging 5 PPG and comes off the bench, but I think we will see the best game of his career against us just to try and prove a point.

But he can't be the focus of us against Auburn as they have some talent. They are rather young and I think we have much more talent and experience so will win by 10, but it could be close towards the end.

Really depends which team we get. Hopefully the team from last night carries over, PJ shuts down the sauce and things are easy.

Make him go to his off hand! If anybody knows his weaknesses, it should be us.

True story!

Sorry for the multiple threads on this people, I started talking about sauce and my phone went all floater on me.

Well Auburn hammered Georgia State - a team we had so much difficulty with....they are 4-0 and are rolling.....and a lot of excitement surrounds their program(3rd year of sold out arena)

But I would agree with the win.... if Purdue shows up and plays aggressively Purdue wins as the size and experience is a huge advantage for Purdue. Still, I think it all matters which Purdue team shows up though, not which Auburn team shows up. Play like we did against GS and we lose.

The game we saw the last 10 minutes of the GSU game would probably be more accurate of how the game should have gone. GSU was hitting shots while Purdue played a lackluster game. GSU isn't a bad team but more than likely we got a more concerted effort being Purdue than Auburn did.

Maybe RJ will have a career game tonight. But, it could also be that he'll try to force things. It will be interesting to see how things play out.

The sauce seemed to get chunky and slow. But I guess that happens when pinetime > playing time

All of the sudden, our guards are exuding sauce.

To bad Purdue doesn't play every game in converted ballrooms.

No, NEVER. lol. We are not that mature come on now. Seems like he has gotten worse since his sophmore year though, I'm surprised. Seems like the Johnsons just had athleticism, and that was their peak.

There's a reason we sucked so bad the two years he was our point guard. He might not have been the sole reason we missed the NCAA but he was by far the biggest in my opinion. Then when we finally get rid of him he mouths off on Twitter about our recruiting. I usually cheer for those that leave Purdue even on bad terms to get it together and do well. I can't say that Ronnie Johnson has inspired that same sentiment in me.

Painter's first season was a train wreck with Landry and Teague hurt and eventually starting walk-ons.

But other than that (which was still an improvement over Keady's final season) Painter has been an absolute lock in the tourney when Sauce wasn't running the show. I was a fan of his in HS and really had high hopes for him at Purdue, but I don't think it can be overstated what a drag he was on the program

The GS game was not about anything GS did. It was all about Purdue effort and execution. That became clear during the 20-0 run to finish.
That said, I was not impressed by Auburns defense but the same is true
Agree, and if you think about it, we may actually owe RJ a big thank you. Why? Because he was putting that sauce talk in the ear of the kid that decommitted making room for CE.
Excellent point Dave. Carsen can really ladle it on! He also was doing that against very quick, athletic players.

You know, very good point. And we saw last night that CE has truckloads of sauce.

I wish RJ well. He acted like an ass hat but I hope life turns out okay for him.
