Rumors are surfacing that Rick Smith may not survive black monday in Houston. Any chances we could get him as next A.D. Purdue loves to have next guy in waiting.

Why would you want to hire someone who hired Kelvin Sampson?Originally posted by BeerbellyBoiler:

Yeah...they won 9 games this year...and that's without a legit starting QB. Don't see how he's pushed out. Not unless they don't try to get one in the next few years.Originally posted by ghostoffatjack:
Texans Owner McCain shot that rumor down earlier in the day...his response was no way!
Going to be tough to get one from a draft position in the high teens. As a Bengals fan, they can have Andy Dalton.Originally posted by pboiler18:

QB is the toughest position to gauge future results on. Remember, every NFL team initially passed on Brees...and 24 or so passed on Aaron Rodgers!Originally posted by nat100:

True, but anymore, teams are overdrafting QBs. EJ Manual in the top 10 is a farce. Same with Ponder, Weeden, Locker in the first round.Originally posted by pboiler18:

Hard to believe he'd get canned, as they are a QB away from being really good. But, if he does become available,
he would be an upgrade over Captain Curling.
Oh man, remember our GREAT Purdue Curling team of 1907?? Me neither.
But, at least they knew what our school colors are!
