I know we are all super pumped about, and praying to the BB gods for, PU not to drop another regular season game, but what is a reasonable worst case record your heart/brain tells you for the remaining 4 games? I understand we could lose all 4, but that seems outside the realm of reasonable. I say worst case reasonable record is 2-2 (both on the road) as each loss with re-galvanize the team, and that most certainly will prevent a reg season conf championship. What say you?

Agreed. 4-0 is obviously ideal, I think if we come out 3-1, that'll be very good. 2-2 will be ok. At the end of the day, the combination of regular season plus BTT is hard to predict.

Ahh.... Just like an old time Boiler.... thinking about worst case scenario :)

I think worst case is 3-1. Our paint defense has improved in our recent 3-4 games. (giving the coaching and team their due) This may come as a surprise to some, but I think the "worst case" loss above could come from either Penn State or Michigan. Both are on the road and both have matchup issues which could allow them to have a great game. With Michigan, it's their streaking 3 pt shooting at home and wagner. With Penn State, it's their ability to get to the rim at home. (still don't know why they didn't drive more at mackey ?? - have to assume they got out of their game plan when they fell behind quickly)

Worst case reasonable, IMO, is split the last 4. Beat Penn St and IU. Lose to Mich and NW. It's likely we take the NW game. So, if we can pull off a win at Mich a sweep is possible. Barring some let down somewhere else in the schedule. Toss the records out when we square off with IU. It's like a box of chocolates.

Worst case is 13-5 and a 3 seed. I think we will at least end up 14-4 and the 1 .seed.

I am not happy that we have to go on the road and play.at 2 senior days. Wish the BIG would not schedule us like that. But of course running the gauntlet would really help our confidence.

Worst case is a devastating injury and then for us to free fall and lose the rest of our games.

Don't blame me. I didn't start this thread.
Though I know injuries HAD been the bane of PU sports in recent years, I would classify that outside the reasonable qualifier I attached to my inquiry. Thus I will forget I saw the word "injury" *shudder*

Couldn't agree more with you... I still think we win out but PSU on road scares me. I recall losing there in the past when it was supposed to be a lock for us...
