That’s right a Purdue alumna just donated $17 million for Purdue scholarships! Unfortunately for some, that money is going for scholarships for pharmacy students not the NIL. You guys should be happy!
One day, you’ll grow up and your obsession will end. Until then, one can only hope you find a new obsession and message board to terrorize.I read somewhere its a $16 million buyout to get a new men's basketball coach.
why would we do that?I read somewhere its a $16 million buyout to get a new men's basketball coach.
You mean like Sam Allen and his wife Marsha that donated $20 million to Purdue's golf program in 2022? Sam was a scholarship golfer for Purdue. They both graduated in 1975.it goes back to my point that the typical Purdue alumna who has a lot of money has a mindset and philosophy to donate that money to something academic oriented rather than athletics oriented. Purdue alumni are known for their academic achievements. when it comes to giving back, they are more than likely to give back to the area they participated in school.
why in the hell would anyone donate 20 million to a golf program. what a stupid waste of moneyYou mean like Sam Allen and his wife Marsha that donated $20 million to Purdue's golf program in 2022? Sam was a scholarship golfer for Purdue. They both graduated in 1975.
People tend to donate to the programs or academics they enjoyed in school. Purdue actually does receive a lot of donations. But unlike many sleezeball universities, a lot of the donations Purdue receives are targeted for research and academic programs. With regards to the NIL, I have to believe Purdue is on par with 90% of the other NCAA universities.why in the hell would anyone donate 20 million to a golf program. what a stupid waste of money
sleezeball universities? who are you referring to.People tend to donate to the programs or academics they enjoyed in school. Purdue actually does receive a lot of donations. Luckily, morons don’t usually have $16 million laying around.why would we do that?
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you and Mark Cuban is a smart guy but was the Miller buyout worth the ROI?? The money will always be there for IU.Luckily, morons don’t usually have $16 million laying around.
Cuban didn't pay anything to buy out miller. buying out a coach, a doner will always have a zero ROI.I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you and Mark Cuban is a smart guy but was the Miller buyout worth the ROI?? The money will always be there for IU.
You’re comparing Little Archie to Painter?I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you and Mark Cuban is a smart guy but was the Miller buyout worth the ROI?? The money will always be there for IU.
No, I'm saying not all people worth 16 million dollars make good decisions and some can be quite frankly.....moronic.You’re comparing Little Archie to Painter?
That disposable $16 million would be much better spent on NIL than a buyout, in almost any scenario.
Well, your board glorified that Cuban ponied up the money for it. Some spoke of the Purdue grad that was an IU fan but most believed it to be Cuban.Cuban didn't pay anything to buy out miller. buying out a coach, a doner will always have a zero ROI.
Indianapolis car dealer paid the money. he never wanted the publicity for it so I won't mention his name, but Cuban gave nothing.Well, your board glorified that Cuban ponied up the money for it. Some spoke of the Purdue grad that was an IU fan but most believed it to be Cuban.
If you really want to believe it, go for it!! You would be doing a great service to most of us.So Purdue can get back to the Final Four and win a National Championship.
I want to believe Painter can still do this, but I don't.
So the point of the post went right over your head. Allen, former CEO of Deere and Co. must of felt it a worthy endeavor. Probably chump change to him. I'm sure he and his wife have donated many other times to many other uses and causes.why in the hell would anyone donate 20 million to a golf program. what a stupid waste of money
didn't go over my head at all. it's his money he can do with it whatever he wants. imo 20 million to a college golf program is a waste of money. So the point of the post went right over your head. I remember thinking you were trolling when you first joined. "Purdue FF this year. National Champions the following year." A year and a half later and I still think you're a troll. So Purdue can get back to the Final Four and win a National Championship.

This. Def a troll.I remember thinking you were trolling when you first joined. "Purdue FF this year. National Champions the following year." A year and a half later and I still think you're a troll.
No, it went completely over your head which is no surprise. My post wasn't directed to you in the first place. It was directed to the OP. So you think he wasted his money? LOLdidn't go over my head at all. it's his money he can do with it whatever he wants. imo 20 million to a college golf program is a waste of money.
Why are YOU talking about ME?! My post calling you a troll likely has more substance/relevance than any fluff post you have made about Purdue basketball.Talking about me instead of Purdue basketball. Why are you talking about me?
