Guessing Zach’s attention requires more on Nije than before. He has improved a bit and can rebound and get some garbage around the bucket. Braden gets 0 Clary or 11 Wynter whoever has the point at the time. Guessing the 4 man at the time gets Pickett since his game is slower and backing down into the lane…may be a game where Caleb is key on D? That leaves the 2 and 3 for PSU. Funk@2 seems to always be behind the arc. Incredible range, but rarely a threat to drive the ball. Guessing Fletch has Funk. That leaves Brandon on Seth Lundy who also has tremendous range, but will also drive the ball.
Guessing Braden always switches on 1-2 with Fletch and reads the 3 man for Brandon and prefers Brandon get on top so he doesn’t have to switch since Seth will take the ball to the basket and doesn’t switch with Pickett unless absolutely forced into doing so. Guessing Brandon/Caleb/Mason/Trey/Ethan switch all 3-4 screens and read the 2 man screens trying to keep Fletch on the nondriver and yet defend the arc. Want to keep Zach out of switches where he can defend the lane and not get pulled out on a switch that he now has a shooter.
Course Matt may say we are going to take out 1 of the 3 and hope the other two can’t carry the load. Easiest to take out is Funk since he is not quite as versatile as Pickett or Lundy.
Shrews really packed it in on entry passes to TJD and so Braden is going to get some looks…hope his jumper and other players are on if Shrews commits 3 and 4 on Zach. Win this going away and the confidence will be great going into the tourney. Let’s hope goal number 2 is accomplished today!
