How in the world could this have happened ! ! SHOCKING ! I thought the whole family was taking Remdesivir and bleach !
Yes, we know, you thought that the entire family has been injecting bleach into their lungs. That’s because that is what you were told and you nodded your head in agreement. And that’s because you are an idiot.

Not at all ! - I say it because that's what our F-ing GENIUS said ! You know, . . the guy you think is a role model for us all. What a joke !

This cartoon was published by the weekly Kansas newspaper Anderson County Review on its Facebook page and depicts Gov. Laura Kelly wearing a mask with a Jewish Star of David.

The newspaper's publisher is also Anderson County's GOP chair.

Well, so much for even a modicum of transparency. CBS News comments on Fauci and CDC inaccessibility...
I noticed that the CBS anchor emphasized the record number of cases yet didn't say a single word on how actual deaths are declining. I wonder why? Dr. Fauci can only give so many interviews. Perhaps he is giving interviews to those who aren't out looking for a soundbite. Here's one from 3 days ago which lasts for over 30 minutes.

This is like lunacy on drugs - Now that Florida and Texas are in serious trouble . . their governors are NOW wants to blame the Federal level for the mixed messaging on masks and no leadership in modeling the behavior . . but but but. . . when it comes to state-level facts they have on hospitalizations, etc.. which could convince their citizens to start taking it seriously . . . they can't release THAT data ! OH NO ! ! . . . that would make THEM look bad !

Something tells me the governors who have been blindly backing Trump are now in serious, serious trouble, as their citizens now know they have been lied to by both levels and every death or near death is going to change a family's worth of votes.

Deaths are the longest lagging indicator, you know. COVID is not a "fast" disease - the health experts have cited about a 6 week lag when it comes to the time period of testing positive, going through the disease and, if a death occurs, being reported as a COVID death.

A 40 year old Broadway actor died this week who was hospitalized for 3 months, had his leg amputated and was set for a lung transplant because his lungs were full of holes. Just the flu.

The other issue which I watch is the number of people on ventilators. Those numbers are climbing in Florida and Texas, and . . as we have seen so far, 80% end up dying.

Hopefully that percentage will improve with improved therapies, but we aren't seeing it yet. One that I am watching is Nitric oxide therapy, which safeguards the lungs and has been used successfully in children with major lungs issues.

Until then, we have over 3 million cases and heading towards 5 million by Sept. (and probably 250,000 deaths)

As a DC person, Doooo summed it up pretty well with regards to sports.

"we can't just have virus fatigue"

Thanks !

This is the type of articles I have been reading about since the early Chinese reports that patients weren't recovering, to the blood clotting issues in the body, to inflammatory conditions similar to Kawasaki Disease in teenagers, to other major organs of the body and why I continue to caution people that COVID will most likely create underlying conditions for many, especially those that have to be hospitalized. (ie Not all people will fully recover)

This morning on CBS news there was a devastating report on the medical situation in Arizona. Exhausted medical staff, lack of equipment, overwhelmed hospitals, etc. They are moving people out of state because of lack of hospital beds.

I think this is not helpful in any case. This pandemic shouldn't be about red vs. blue states - part of that problem has to do with a lack of national leadership. We're going to get nowhere the more and more it is politicized.

We should be listening to health experts. I know that's not your point (as we have already gone through a wave of it being a "blue state problem", including a resistance to offer support to states because it in essence would mostly go to blue states).

Until the entire country realizes this is a problem for us all and need to take it seriously, we'll get nowhere.

I totally agree. The people need to listen to the experts and come together to overcome this pandemic. The politicians are unable to lead when their total focus is on their own reelection.

It's a good thing that the President let me know that 99% of Covid infections are completely innocuous or I might be concerned in hearing that Texas hospitals are so crowded that they are turning people away.
Whew... if I hadn't been told that I probably would be concerned with the 10,000 newly confirmed Texas cases today. Thank heaven for being aware!

No, no, the hospitals are only crowded because of elective surgeries.

Dr. Fauci, who many conservatives on here praised, hasn't briefed the President in months, let alone seen him.

The President is focused on fundraising, golf, commuting his pals prison sentences, etc. You know, things keeping people up at night.

Masks make one focus on the eyes. It is interesting to do that as it reveals the person in a different way.
Now he will claim that he always supported and encouraged the wearing of masks.

I sure hope China begins helping the rest of the world out with their expertise! Out of 213 countries, they sure are great! Perhaps if every country adopted their form of government we could all have wonderful lives!
