.....BUT I just read that IU hasn't beaten Ohio State since 1988. That almost seems impossible.

Wish I could go backI’m starting to understand why IU fans all act like the 1980s were just a couple weeks ago.
The 1980s were greatWish I could go back
I was telling a bunch of people in their 70s at a car mechanic waiting room that id go back right now if I could. They looked at me curiously and when I said “what’s that worst that could happen? If I wasn’t there to answer my house phone no one could get ahold of me???” They all laughed heartilyThe 1980s were great
Exactly. Usually people would let it ring 6 times before hanging up and if you missed it, you would wonder all day about who called, because we didn't have answering machines back then. I didn't worry because I just looked at caller ID.I was telling a bunch of people in their 70s at a car mechanic waiting room that id go back right now if I could. You had caller ID in 1985?Exactly. Usually people would let it ring 6 times before hanging up and if you missed it, you would wonder all day about who called, because we didn't have answering machines back then. I didn't worry because I just looked at caller ID.
It was just becoming a thing right around then. You could buy a phone with an ID display built into it, or just a separate display to sit alongside your desk phone. You had caller ID in 1985?
Lol i was 8 we had a rotary phone … my old man would have been like “caller I’d?? For what? Yelloooo?” 😂It was just becoming a thing right around then. You could buy a phone with an ID display built into it, or just a separate display to sit alongside your desk phone.

Good point. We actually had some privacy in those days.I was telling a bunch of people in their 70s at a car mechanic waiting room that id go back right now if I could. They looked at me curiously and when I said “what’s that worst that could happen? If I wasn’t there to answer my house phone no one could get ahold of me???” They all laughed heartily
It's Indinia......BUT I just read that IU hasn't beaten Ohio State since 1988. That almost seems impossible.
Sorry, I just got back on. This was meant as my dry humor. We had no idea back then who called us. I thought caller ID came well after the answering machines.Exactly. Usually people would let it ring 6 times before hanging up and if you missed it, you would wonder all day about who called, because we didn't have answering machines back then. I didn't worry because I just looked at caller ID.
I still have one mounted in the garage. 🤣Lol i was 8 we had a rotary phone … my old man would have been like “caller I’d?? For what? Yelloooo?” 😂
