Okay....fess up and tell the truth. Who on here is picking PU to win it all?

Right now I have Purdue in my Final Four beating Vermont, Nevada, Kansas, and Michigan and losing in the national semi-final to North Carolina.

I have until noon tomorrow to come to my senses, excuse Purdue in the Sweet 16, and hand the regional to Kansas or Louisville.

We'll see what I decide to do.

My strategy is normally to be as unbiased as possible and create the best bracket I can, regardless of what I think about the Purdue and the Big Ten. If Purdue does great and it busts my bracket, I'll feel fine. But if I gamble on Purdue and they don't do well, then I'll get a double whammy - Purdue's out and I have a busted bracket.

I really think Louisville is suspect where they're seeded this year.

They're a similar team to Michigan - lots of long and athletic shooters but also streaky. I could see them losing in the first weekend or making the Elite 8.

Ucla here too , however their defensive ranking is nowhere near where past champs have been . I believe since Ken Pom started his nobody outside of the top 20 on defense has won (don't quote me ). Purdue does in case you're wondering

Have them in Final Four losing to Carolina. Carolina beating Arizona in final. Have us beating Vermont, Nevada, Kansas and Louisville

My question is "Who isn't.... and why the heck not if you call yourselves Boilermakers?"

( that's the "Ever Faithful, Ever True" part, Kids!!)

I filled out three brackets, one of which I have Purdue winning. For the others, I picked Duke.

I do have to say...even though it would take a titanic effort and some breaks, I do believe Purdue has a chance this year. Like, a legit chance. But everyone has to show up in every game. Stating the obvious, I know.

I'm a one-bracket man --- and mine still has Purdue beating Vermont, Iowa State (changed from Nevada this morning), Kansas, and Michigan to get there and then falling to UNC in the national semifinal.

I guess I have just under 3 hours to change my mind.

I am certainly a glass half full guy, but I really think this team is a player short of being a F4 contender. I think they are missing that nasty defensive presence that either a shot blocker like Hammons would bring or a take over the game defender like Kramer. Add either to this team and I think you have a serious F4 contender.

I have two pools with the Boilers winning it all, and the other two have UCLA.

So...........fess up. Who are you picking?
I'm looking at my $10 bet ticket, issued by The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas--Purdue to win it all. I'll win $350.
