Purdue seemed much more responsive to how ISU lined up. Like that first TD to Posey where it was just two WR's and two DB's out in space. The Marshall game made me crazy for not attempting to take advantage of stuff like this and electing to run into coverage instead.
Im wondering how much this sort of thing is a QB read at the LOS? It sounds like Shoop has a lot of play calls that can be taken 3+ directions based on what the QB sees.
Theres definitely more going on than how many guys are in the box, but imo the key to effective running this year is keeping the defense honest.
