Not a "Fire Painter" guy, but facts are facts, 30-33 all-time in March

Might add that he is 8-8 at Purdue.

To break that down, Purdue under Painter in the NCAAT is:

3-1 in toss-up games (1 seed difference like 8v9 or 4v5)
4-2 in expected wins (2+ seed differential)
1-5 in expected losses (2+ seed differential)

I think both pro- and anti-Painter posters can see what they want in that resume. Obviously, it hasn't been enough for a deep run. At the same time, that isn't the embarrassing track record some say it is.

I'll bet any of you mouths that want to put your money up that we win our first round matchup. Let me know who accepts and how much.

How far do you think we go this year? You can't extend this bet of yours past the first weekend? Smh.

Wow an anti Painter thread? I've been saying this for years and I have always been getting ripped for it. The guy can't coach in big games it's a fact. Let's just hope Biggie is good enough to take this squad deep because Painter certainly won't help.
I don't think it's BIGGIE taking us deep in the Tourney......He didn't play a stellar game today by any means........we need everybody to step up in order to do advance past first round....

I'd like to see a bracket before I predict a deep run. I feel confident that we will have a winnable first game though. Every round beyond that who knows at this point.

Lets look at the past 5 tourney appearances thats 2010-2016

1-1 Tossup games (And we really shouldn't have lost to that Cinci team plain and simple painter was outcoached)

2-2 in expected wins (We were dominated against VCU and how can you not say we lost to Little Rock because our coaching was sub par. Oh and one of those wins we came out looking like crap and just got lucky we were just a way more talented team)

1-2 in expected losses

But here is where the story really is. lets look at close games games decided by fewer than 6 pts (2 possessions) in the Tourney.

We are 2-3 with the last three losses coming in 2012, 2015, and 2016 and our two wins 2010 and 2012.

This is the trend we have been seeing and it the trend we don't like. Painter hasn't won a close tourney game since ****ing 2012.

I'm with you. sick and tired of all these negative waves.... put your money up or STFU...
I'm sick of people expecting different results when we keep doing the exact same shtick. Painter is so ****ing white bread he comes premayoed.

Short memories? We can't win in march! Simple. I remember. Cincinnati, ark little rock and the. 2 yrs we didn't make tourney, on and on.
"on and on"? Please, continue the list of teams included in your "on-and-on". In high school you would be taught not to use "etc." unless you could back it up with a real list. Are you in high school yet?

12 seasons, any game played in the month of March, 30-33. Winning % = 47.6%

His overall winning % at Purdue = 65%

Hmmm. No one can argue he has had "tournament success" especially 2 Sweet 16s in 12 years. We will see if he can get to 3, but I think there are too many holes.
You are a clown.
