Last night was my first game in about 3 years. I noticed the band doesn’t play the jaws theme on 3rd down and the train whistle doesn’t blow for the boiler up chant on 4th down.
both of these things seem unfortunate. the student section needed some sort of organized chant last night. The only time they got something going was a “let’s go boilers “, and Plummer quieted them down.
my theory is that the big new whistle can’t do short bursts like the boiler up chant requires. If that’s the case, have the Boilermaker special do it.
