I watched the game last night. Minny is so short handed with the suspensions that it really was not a fair contest. I don't think there were any surprises that Wisconsin won. I watched because we have Whisky coming up next. They look like a well coached team that plays with discipline and plays within themselves. They have some surprisingly good athletes too. They will be tough to beat.

Hays and Hap are good post players, but they may not be enough to stop our centers. If we can get a good inside-out game going, and we hit our 3's, Wisconsin will fall. We can't slack off because it is senior night, or because we beat the last team to play us in Mackey. We need to bring energy and discipline to this game to win out.

I am hoping for one of those games where we can't miss, and it is a blow out early and all the way through to the end. It would be a great way to get the second season started.

I don't think it will be a blow out. Wisconsin is too fundamentally good to let that happen. IMO it will be similar to the game in Madison at the beginning of the conference season. And really, I'd be more comfortable with that than Purdue taking a commanding early lead.

Wisconsin is too good to be dealt a quick knock-out. I want Purdue to play with a sense of urgency but not helter-skelter. Our guys have to limit mistakes, work for good shots, and control the glass.

Do that, and I think we'll see our 24th win of the season and cool Wisconsin off a little in the process.
