Michigan is beatable

Good bad or ugly, Michigan is still 4-0 and on their way to another fine season! Like most people would say, you don't care how you get it! The W is the only stat that really counts!

On the other hand, after 4 tough games, Purdue is a surprising 2-2. Were not going to win every game, but with a few breaks we could easily see one of our best seasons in a long time!

You can blame officials and injuries. But great teams find a way to win and I'm confident Purdue will see 4 more wins this year! The foundation has been built

Don't be a dick. That game was much closer than the score reflected. Sure, they underestimated our D, and would have really struggled to win that game regardless. But don't kid yourself. We did get a favorable whistle (though not to the extent that the most homer Boiler fans might believe) and there were a handful of plays that could have changed the complexion of that game. Notably the missed sack O'Korn muscled out of (which was a great play). rr

Purdue is going to be right there in the West. Their fans are excited, and should be.
Thank you West Side. I agree completely that the missed sack of O'Korn completely changed the complexion of the game. Harbaugh probably won't do this, but after watching UMs first four games, he needs to start O'Korn, IMHO. Michigan is going to be right there with PSU and OSU at the end for the BIG East. It could well come down to the end of the regular season.

UM's front 7, especially Mo Hurst, Gary, and the LBs really tormented our OL all game. That coupled with your excellent, athletic DBs playing press man made it very difficult for our WRs to get open. We had no run game to speak of. Brohm could not scheme around our roster deficiencies versus your defense. Once Don Brown figured out our misdirections, we had nothing to slow your defense down.

Case in point... nice phantom chop block and no call on the pass interference. Is it even fun needing the officials to babysit you to beat Purdue??!

The missed pass interference was a bad call. The chop block happened, but that doesn't always get called. Even if every call went Purdue's way, that is not going to change the lopsided second half of this game.

Poor 2nd half performance (stupid ejections on our part) + O'Korn playing well = loss. Re-adjusted expectation back to 5-7. Have to eliminate self inflicted penalties and make plays in crunch time to get to another level.
Michigan beat us by patiently letting Purdue create their own mistakes. Refs are not the reason we lost. They did a poor job, but not the reason we lost.

For a Pharmacy Doctor, you "ain't too bright". How many points did Michigan score with Speight in the game? How many yards of offense did Michigan have while Speight was in the game?

Michigan played much better on offense with O'Korn in the game. That's a fact.
Hahahahaha!! Thanks. We own you

You don't think we will beat more than Rutgers, Illinois, and one more team out of Wisky, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, NW, and IU?

We are going to be a bowl team, although the injury situation is concerning. We won't face a defense this good again this season, although Wisky and Iowa will provide challenges.

1. You don't really believe that, do you? Did you actually watch any of Michigan's games? Their offense looked bad against Cinci and AF. The reason Purdue's stats are skewed down (460 yards/game) is because we only had 356 yards of offense vs. Louisville and Brohm took his foot off the gas last week vs. Mizzou after gaining 370 yards in the first half.
2. It's Zico, not Vico.
3. It was Purdue's first game with Brohm and Blough wasn't playing due to the bad picks. Lots has changed since then, no? Brohm has a playbook that's nearly a foot thick. The offensive staff gives the team 10 new plays for every game, including new trick plays. We've probably seen no more than 15-20% of Brohm's offense so far!

Purdue will not lose by 10-15 points. Brohm and his staff don't believe in moral victories. We're going to beat Michigan in a close game and maybe some of the Knuckleheads will stop doubting what's obvious to most of us now.
Hahahahaha did you best Michigan in a close game? Boiler down!!

What your saying is a backhanded compliment. On paper MI should beat Purdue due to athletes alone and I'll give you that. What nobody can measure is the will to win, never give up attitude, the chemistry and love they have for coaches and players alike. When you have that, you can beat anyone. Just ask the any former players of a team like N.C. State 1983 basketball or other teams throughout the years. Underdogs do fight hard and can win.
I stand firm Purdue 35 MI 24. Coach Brohm has them believing and you say it sets the fans up for disappointment. I say no way in hell, I've seen 4 years or longer of disappointment. Should we come up yet be competitive till the final horn, I'll feel just fine. Michigan has as much if not more to lose than we do. MI might be tight and we'll find out tomorrow.
How's your prediction holding my little bitch?

Sure it was... three things.. those two calls and Bentley just wrapping his arms around O'Porn and this is a much different game ... probably 14-7 if not better well into the 4th.

You know you get babysat by the officials ... if Brohm stays on the trajectory he's on and stays here, there may be a day when the babysitting is not enough

Except purdont will aksways be the baby. Maybe Brohmnwill like to join a winner and become an analyst for harbaugh?

Rutgers, Illinois = Yes
Wisky = No
Iowa = No, they played very well at home against PSU. Lost on last play of the game.
Nebraska = Toss up. Can win if they don't right their own ship
Minnesota = Toss Up, will be competitive
NW = Toss up. The only unknown team that I've not seen much of this year
IU = Toss up. They have a WR that is NFL quality and a decent defense. I want to see us get the bucket back.
If Purdue could tackle and hit without targeting, we'll be fine. I like the aggressiveness, but have to learn the officials will watch Purdue very close from here on out with regards to targeting. Injury bug will play into our success as our depth is a concern at a lot of key positions. We were either gassed or once we lost our defensive players, we were gashed considerably in the 2nd half. What surprised me was we didn't utilize the TE's enough throughout the game. I'm writing this without looking at box scores and re-watching the game, but seemed that few passes were caught by our TE's. Hopkins and Herdman were instrumental in the for 3 games and even got us on the board in the 1st half. Keep them in the gameplan. Wright's fumble and dropped pass in the 2nd half along with no PI called really hurt our offense. Maybe too much Wright and not enough TE activity?

Well you are owned you idiot
I don't think YOU played one down in that game. Don't think "you" owned anyone. The UM football team eventually pulled this one out. So close for most of the game that using the word "owned" is not appropriate. I think UM was just good enough to leave with a win, this year.

Yes, I've drank the Kool-Ade that Brohm has brought and I'm fine with it.
I agree with all posters (Michigan included here) that at nearly every position, MI has better athletes. Purdue will be a different dog in the fight this weekend. Smaller, but determined. Don't underestimate us. Agree, that MI has a very good defense, but their offense is LETHARGIC. If they can get points on the board early, MI wins. If not, or if they believe a FG riddled game will win it for them, they are mistaken. We have playmakers that can roll up the yardage in chunks. Add in a scheming set of coaches (Brohm brothers at H.C. and offensive coordinator) that are willing to gamble and I say we'll net Touchdowns. This is a statement game for Purdue and if MI offense plays like they have played in the last two games, Purdue wins.
No doubt about it, Defense wins games and championships. Advantage MI
Purdue has found a chemistry to get to the endzone early and often. Advantage PU
This should be fun.

Just wanted to see how your prediction held up, my bitch
