It's been a few years since I've returned to campus for a game. Will be there for this Saturday's noon EST tipoff against Penn State. Typically, I've parked in the Northwestern St. parking garage. Is that still a good spot for free parking? Does it fill up pretty quickly? Thanks in advance...

We always park in the NW garage. Never had any problem getting a spot. We go to 6+ games a year. Will be there Saturday also. Boiler Up!!

Parked there for a football game this year and they charged for it. Haven't had to use it for basketball but is there a charge to park there for basketball now also?

That seems counter-intuitive, based upon the expected crowd being larger for games at Mackey.....until next year, hopefully.
Not really. Mackey only holds a little over 14000 which is likely slightly less than the attendance at FB games the past few years.

like the others I park there. Started parking there when it was half the size over four decades ago since classes were across the street. :) It isn't too bad to get out unless you are really late. Comments after the game on 95.7 :)

an exaggeration, yes, in the hopes of getting a few laughs for an otherwise mundane Monday.

We used to park in the NW garage many years ago.....I had a friend who sometimes would carry a sign walking to the games (past all the fraternities and other places charging for parking)......reading "FREE parking in NW Garage."
