Waiting for Gillis & Morton to pick my
2nd & 3rd favorite teams of 2024-25.

April 15: (tonight), WNBA Draft - I've got the Fever for Caitlin Clark!

May 1st: Spring Portal closes, can't enter
May 12: NBA Draft Lottery will be held.
May 12-19: NBA Draft Combine - Chicago, New rule: If invited, must attend & participate, else not eligible for this draft.
May 29: Early NBA Entrants Deadline to remove name.

June 1: Recruits start to arrive on campus.
Time for a lot of scrimmages to see how the pieces fit.
June 5: Jr-Sr All-Star game at Kokomo, Benter & Fine
June 7: IN at KY Stars in Lexington
June 8: KY at IN Stars in Gainbridge Fieldhouse
June 21-23: Charlie Hughes IHSAA Boys Basketball Showcase at Carmel & Westfield HS
June 23: Last year, Purdue announced the non-con schedule.
June 26: NBA Draft, 1st Rd
June 27: NBA Draft, 2nd Rd

July 12-22: NBA Summer League starts in Viva Las Vegas! Go get'em Zach! Boiler Up!
July 19: TBT starts - Men of Mackey, Let's go!
5 new venues, one is Butler.
July 26: Last year, the Arkansas charity game was announced.

Aug: Guys continuing to scrimmage & fitting pieces together.

Sept 20: Last year, Purdue announced the full schedule.
Sept 26: Last year, Purdue had it's first official practice.

Oct 28: Last year, Purdue played Ark in a charity game. Who will it be this year?

~ Nov 5: Here we go again.

Since, Painter schedules by how strong the team is,
I expect the schedule to be a little easier this year.
The Rady's San Diego Children Invitational on
Thanksgiving should be an excellent tournament.
Teams are: Arkansas, BYU, ND, and Purdue. Those
will all have fairly new coaches except Purdue.
Maybe, Morton & Gillis will be playing for Shrews.
Arizona should be somewhere on the schedule.

Well, Boiler Up! & Hammer Down!

This is impressive.

I am curious on when we will do something for the Final 4 and NC banner? I know the picture of that floats around the internet a lot but we might need to redesign that setup. Maybe we will do something to note which prior F4 we played for the NC? Plus the F4 banners are really small.

Anyways, going to be fun reading reports and seeing leaks coming out of summer. Hoping we have another tough non-con lined up to test these kids. It helped us in March.

I agree, it would be great to see another top ten type matchup scheduled. Arizona will likely be very good and getting two out of ND / BYU / Arkansas is a positive, but I'd love to get exposure to another elite team in the OOC slate.

One thing to note- we had that Euro trip last year so we got extra practices during the summer. The games themselves were probably pretty worthless, unfortunately

Curious....Is there both a FF banner & a NCRU banner or will that just be a NCRU designation @ the bottom of the FF banner?

I think currently it is just Final 4 without any designation for NCRU.

I wonder if we would redesign the old banners to make it a clear distinction because it should be noted. Plus, as cool as the Helms title is, the F4 ones are like 1/2 the size.

We have some impressive creative folks for basketball, so I’m confident we can spice it up.

ESPN way to early poll doesn't have Texas A&M in the top 25. Not that it means a lot right now. Hard to beat the Arizona game last year for sure. I'm sure it's not easy to get teams to play that location with us, but was hoping maybe we would get a home and home with Gonzaga.

The most valuable part of those trips is building camraderie and teamwork.
