Lonzo Ball-Brian Bosworth Comparison

Someone with better NFL knowledge can correct me but Boz's career was marred by the injury bug, wasn't it? I know he was bowled over by Bo at one point but I thought he had some health issues that severely limited him overall. Not saying he would have been in the HOF...but definitely could have played a longer career.

Chronic shoulder issues.

when the Boz was a SR., I wrote their AD Donnie Duncan , asking if could get an autograph of the Boz. He sent me an 8x10 photo that was autographed w/ Best Wishes the Boz , Sooner football yearbook, and bumper sticker. Still got the photo.

I'm not convinced that Lonzo belongs in the top 25 picks of this draft.
Completely agree. His father is trying to sell something that his son can't deliver.

And I imagine he will get quite a lot of grief while he is in the league thanks to his father's mouth.

Wow, that's pretty cool! Wish I would have thought to write George King when I was a kid to get an autographed photo of Rod Woodson.

I haven't seen anything in Lonzo's playing career to suggest he doesn't deserve a top 3 pick. He's the next Magic Johnson. Fox is definitely the next John Wall, maybe even the next Russell Westbrook. But what have those 2 ever won?

The Ball brothers are all going to regret having the Dad that they have before it's all over. NBA owners have big $$$ and even bigger egos. GMs and coaches are not going to be overshadowed by a big mouthed Dad and owners are not going to want to put up with his circus either. Much like the place Kappernick finds himself today the Balls are all heading down that road as long as nobody can reign in Daddy.

I cant wait to see what NBA players do to Ball once he is in the league....If you don't think LeBron is gonna try and embarass him cause what his father said...Plus I'm sure his Dad is gonna run his mouth all year about other players.

In my eyes he has the skillset that the NBA covets in a PG. He has the size, court vision, and is a capable shooter (albeit with a quirky shot). That being said, he has to be his own man who can make his own decisions without a handler for me to draft him if I'm a GM. He will only work out with the Lakers and as of now, reports are out there that they are not sold on him. I don't see Magic using his first pick on Lonzo because of his Dad. If they do not draft him then you could see him slide quite a bit in the draft.

Boz had talent. I'm not convinced that Lonzo belongs in the top 25 picks of this draft.

This seems like a serious overreaction to how much you don't like his dad. Lonzo is a good basketball player and was probably the most important in college basketball last year, which is why his team flamed out when he had a bad game.

You can say there's some concerns about how his skills translate at the superstar level, Fox tore him up, but there's little doubt he will help an NBA team. He seems a lot like Jason Kidd to me. I know as a player I'd take him.

Jason Kidd is a good comparison to me.....I think he'll do fine as far as carving out a career (who really knows how successful), but yeah, you'd rather not have the distraction from Dad.

Btw, on Bosworth......ESPN did one of those specials (think it was 30-for-30) a while back on BB. It was good and gave you some insight into everything surrounding the recruiting, Oklahoma days, and the pros. Not enough of that content left these days as I watch less and less.

I really liked that one too Tex. His interaction with his son as they went through the storage unit was very good. Time/age has a way of humbling most of us.
