You're going to believe whatever you want. That's completely fine. We have different views of Seattle.
It isn't keeping people away from flocking here in droves. We actually try to downplay how great it is here when talking to people.
Good article on the reduction in crime the past few years and the outside influences that are trying to paint Seattle in a bad light. It's the usual cast of characters (Right-wing media, Sinclair, Rush Limbaugh, etc.) No surprise that some of the some of the same comments are being parroted by folks on here.
For all the caterwauling about public safety in Seattle, here on the streets crime actually went down, across the board, in 2019. Robbery was down 9 percent from a year ago, burglary was off 6 percent. The property crime rate...

Obviously, many do not feel the same way that Seattle is dying. The real estate market is only second to Phoenix right now. People apparently haven't gotten the memo on how terrible Seattle and King County is.
