IU at least Co-B1G Champs

I am not an IU fan whatsoever. Just saying how much easier it is to recruit there. They have a much bigger budget for it as well. Maybe the new AD will fix that issue at Purdue. If it wasn't for Painter all of our sports programs would be in the dumps thanks to Burke

Morgan Burke --- makes me cringe but he did bring several programs out of the dumps. I think our budget for recruiting is just the same as IUs. Unless someone can show me different, Painter just chooses not to utilize a bigger budget....Purdue is a state school, so there is no way they would have different budgets for sports.

You're an angry dude.

The NCAA tourney is the most important time for college basketball. I've enjoyed watching IU win the whole thing 3 times during my time on this planet. Greatest feeling ever when your team wins it all.

Winning the B1G is, as I have said many times to you, a fine accomplishment. Keady did a fine job in that regard. He was one helluva coach, obviously.

His Purdue teams were always fun to watch.
Iu has done
No, not the same results. Crean has better results than Painter, over the last 5 years. 2 B1G titles during that time.

......and EVERYBODY here, including me, expected Purdue to be better than IU this season. The front court you guys had, on paper, was SICK.

Didn't turn out that way though, at least not during the conference season.

Maybe the tourney will be different, we'll see.

not to get into this, but most of the year Purdue was thought to be better than iU. If they play IU in the tourney, they will be considered better than IU. IU has taken care of the business the best they could. It is not the fault of IU players the schedule worked out the way it did. However..had Iowa not faded the last few weeks and been in a slump the rankings might be different. I think IU probably beats Maryland at IU, but nobody would bet against Maryland any place else. it is what it is. I'm sure if I were an IU player I would want to play the other schools that were missed...particularly if I were confident about beating them to remove any doubt. I hate the unbalanced schedule, but money is king today...

If Painter was the coach of IU he would have a few national titles already. Just about anyone can recruit at IU because it's IU. Just look at Crean. He is a shitty coach but yet brings in awesome talent no matter what.

I don't like Crean, but he's the far better offensive coach. Painter is the far better defensive coach (although IU is improving in that area). Crean is the better recruiter and, voila!

There you have it.

To believe IU would be winning titles with Painter's plodding offense is a bit much.
